Uhhh.. I think it\'s the other way around dude ;
MS ditches Oddworld, not Oddworld ditches MS.
Where is little ol\' arrogant Lorne Lanning now,
without the comfy money backup of a publisher eh ?
To Sony ? LOL :laughing: Lanning was the guy
calling the PS2 a piece of crap publicly. We know
Mikami isn\'t a big PS2 fan either, dev side point of
view, but at least he keeps his act in check.

Ok, Today another shock.
Microsoft No Longer Publishing Psychonauts
Though apparently the break-up has been in the offing for some time, Microsoft today confirmed that it has ended its publishing agreement with developer DoubleFine Productions. The company founded by LucasArts adventure veteran Tim Schafer is presently seeking another publisher for Psychonauts, its much-anticipated Xbox platformer.
Psychonauts, in development for some time now, follows a young psychic named Raz through the minds of a series of psychiatric patients, each represented as a new surreal landscape. Microsoft originally planned to publish the game in North America this fall, but that\'s no longer the case.
Microsoft offered the following statement of explanation, or at least announcement:
"Microsoft Game Studios has made the decision to end its publishing agreement with DoubleFine for the upcoming Xbox game \'Psychonauts.\' Microsoft Game Studios believes in the vision of the title and would like to see the game on Xbox. Microsoft is supporting Tim Schafer and DoubleFine in their search for a new publisher."
Several publishers are reportedly interested in the title, although a deal has yet to be finalized. As a consequence, it\'s not yet clear how the change in publishers might affect the game\'s expected release.
Shown on video at the Game Developers Conference and before, Psychonauts generated plenty of buzz among serious gamers, and Schafer\'s presentation on the design of his game\'s cast was one of the highlights at GDC. We\'ll keep you posted on any new developments as they happen.

Oddworld, Doublefine, and their sports line.. dropped within a week. Crazy.
Nintendo managed to pick up a team this week, ironically.. although they (Kuju) don\'t quite have the credentials of those that MS let go.

Damn, it just keeps piling on. Halo 2 better live to the hype.
