Yeah.At night. And my mind plays tricks on me.

When you open your eyes and can\'t move.. it\'s called sleep paraylsis:

http://www.nightterrors.org/paralysis.html

I used to have them frequently and can have them now if I want.  Like if I take a nap during the day and try to force myself to go to sleep at my regular schedule.. they happen.  And they suck!

Iif you work out during the day and keep your mind busy you\'ll have the best sleep of your life.

I will never forget this one night I was about eight years old... I was having this dream that this monster was chasing me... And you know how in a dream when something is chasing you, you wake up right after it catches you? Well, in my dream when it caught me, I did wake up... However with all my conscious sensations back to me, I must have still been half-asleep because I could feel a hand squeeze my throat and it was hard to breath.

Still freaks me out.

the worst nightmare i had was i had a black shadow like creature jump on my face, as i lay in my room on my bed. i couldnt breathe, i was fighting with it, fell out of bed, made it to my door, came ot of my room and into hallway. my parents came out to see what all the noise was. it disappeared. eventually went back to bed, it came back,  and i struggled with it again. then when i woke up, i was under the covers, and could not breathe... was quite disturbing

This has happened to me several times and it\'s an awful feeling.

I also get the feeling like the air gets really thick and heavy making it hard to breathe.

I always dream about what I think about before I fall asleep. Most of the time I dream about getting in fights or having sex. I once had a dream I had sex with this girl in a cage in front of her family

That level sucks. You should have sniped those damned spiders.

Nightmares...havent\' really had a memorable nightmare, just a lot of really weird dreams. My dreams usually deal with stuff that\'s happening in my life, and find a way to make no sense whatsoever.

See Yuz.

i know this one\'s kinda old, but i\'ve been thinking about this topic again...do you think nightmares mean anything when you have them?...yea the question is kinda crazy but i\'ve been workin all night and now my mind starts to wonder about the craziest things!...

i\'ve also wondered if there will become time in technology where one can actually read one\'s mind..what i mean by that is there was actually a device that can catch a photo in your minds eye and produce it on paper....yea i\'m tired...i\'m on some ol sci-fi s**t...i\'m delirious... gonna go get some sleep now...

Anyone ever have nightmares when after you have completed something in your life like high school or college - you have a dream where you think you actually haven\'t finished all the requirements or classes you need to graduate?  I have these every so often about college where I dream I haven\'t finished all my classes in order to graduate.

As for sleep paralysis - I have that occasionally when I wake up.  More annoying than anything really.

I had sleep paralysis once after my last day of 5th grade.

I was laying down watching TV and I felt someone touch my shoulder so when I blinked while turning my head I froze and couldn\'t move. Its a really freaky situation because you feel like someone is near you. I was trying to yell for help but all I was doing was exhaling. Eventually it just stopped and I went to sleep in another bedroom.

damn..i have those dreams too..from time to time i dream that i\'m still in high school and i\'m sitting there actually doin the work!...heh and during the dream i never once say "wtf i\'m not in school anymore!"  :p...weird...as far as sleep paralysis...it seems that all it is is that your consciousness (if that is a word) is aware but your brain is asleep...thus why you cannot move. the brain controls everything, and once that organ is sleep everything else is shut down...crazy feeing tho....

I get this weird thing every once in a while, right when I\'m falling asleep. It\'s like I hear/feel a sound
in the center of my head that\'s growing in volume/strength...the closest thing I can relate it to is bacon
frying. When it starts, I can\'t move, and it ends with a super loud "twang!" like if you pull on a bass
guitar string and let it slap back. It totally freaks me out, and I have a hard time falling asleep afterwards
\'cos it sometimes happens again.
Seriously, the first time it happened I was trying to go to sleep after a nite of doing LSD. I think I
may have brained my damage.

I had a dream last night that I had Storm\'s power.

People were playing soccer and I was like BLIZZARD AND LIGHTNING. And then these people started chasing me and I was like wtf is this shit and hurricaned them away.

I randomly phased through a couple of walls too. Go X-men 3 owning my dreams!

Probably when I\'m stressed about something. When I stress about my ex, I have nightmares about her and me. Otherwise, my dreams are just weird and bizare. If I stress about a test, I tend to dream I failed it.

Anyone ever have the dream they\'re falling and hit the bed? I have that dream all the time. Or if someone hits me and I fall or if I fall in general, I hit the bed...every time.

ever since i\'ve been going to the gym regularaly i can\'t even remember the last nightmare i\'ve had.  sleep paralysis is still an issue but i just make sure i don\'t take naps during the day like always.

I have a feeling that sleep & the mind are HUGE keys to the rest of our body, and can affect our lifespan as well.  I hope one of those sleep clinics discovers something sexy before I die.

I don\'t think I have ever had sleep paralysis. I don\'t ever remember waking up and unable to move.

The closest thing I probably have had is when I sleep on my arm and my arm is asleep. But if its in the middle of the night, I\'m out before it even wakes up.
