Well i was recently screwing around in my case and broke off the head of the cable that connects from the Power Button to the little board located in the front of the case (with the front USB ports, etc) which then goes to the MOBO(what is this cable called)? it looks like a smaller IDE cable, slightly smaller than the floppy connector.

Doesn\'t make sense what you\'re saying...
Not to me anyway, i\'ve never seen a case with a passthrough for the power button. Going from power button to front usb then to the power pins is a strange setup. If you could tell me what case you have i could try and find out.

Is it like that Front I/O panel?

Its a Dell Dimension 8200 if that helps any. The actual cable has USB 2.0 printed on it, even though i have no USB 2.0 ports on my mobo.

is it flat with 5 or 6 holes in it? or is square with 10 etc? Normally but 1 hole covered?
-
its rectangular (looks just like a regular IDE cable) theres 17 pins across with the 7th from the side covered.

i haven\'t seen that cable.. if i have it was probably once.. I\'ll find out what cable it is and get back to u. :)
