Post by: Ryu on April 13, 2004, 08:52:35 PM: There are much more difficult levels on Legendary in my opinion. The only difficult part at the end was getting the warthog to the ship in the time alotted because the time was MUCH shorter, but otherwise, it wasn\'t all that difficult.

Still, congratulations anyhow. :)

The library was a nice gauntlet at times, but it wasn\'t too difficult. I think the double cross mission where you have to use your shields to destroy the core was pretty tough due to its length and some of the portions were just really tough having to deal with covenant tanks, turrets, and invisible elites.

Oh, and you\'re speaking of Two Betrayals. One of the loss of shield areas drove me nuts for a little while, where you\'d pop your shield then all the flood would run in, some with rockets. I was stuck for forever there but finally made it past. Funny thing was just the other day my bro was stuck at the same part and I got passed it on the first try.

Plus, there were parts of nothing but snow banks and flat terrain with little cover that you had to traverse and kill everything before you could get an auto-save. Not to mention crossing those long bridges with tons and tons of covenant forces just waiting for you to run the gauntlet. They knew how to make the game tough on legendary, but it was just that much more fun when you completed each mission. Truly satisfying.

The easy part about that level though is you can run past certain enemies and some few tricks can surpass a lot of guys.

The hardest part on the Library is where you hold your position for the 3rd time.

I think this is the first time I\'ve given out my nick for HALO PC in a while, just this morning on the !Asgard server, some kid by the name of -[X-A-N]-, or some mess like that, was being extremely aggressive towards me. It was funny because I couldn\'t really say a damn thing back. His sniping skills were quite a step above mine. Excellent precision shooting.

But yeah, either he randomly picked someone to approach with extreme hostility(all of it was unprovoked), or somebody at this forum was playing games... The latter seems a bit more plausible. ;) Reveal yourself!

Either way, those were excellent snipin\' skills(his melee game wasn\'t all that hot though), a step above mine and I\'m considered a really good sniper by lots... Hounded by scouts and all. :laughing:. I would like to develop my skill with the sniper rifle to that point.

I can see saying that it is not the hardest; but the easiest?

IMO, The easiest level in all difficulties is Halo with The Pillar of Autumn pulling up a close second.

Don\'t play like a hero, you can shotgun the guys that get close and run from the guys as they keep pouring in. Their is also a couple neat ways to avoid fighting some tough fights. Other levels it\'s more of a guy in the middle of where you are walking, no way around it.
