Just some news to munch on.
-
no shit?
wait, you mean they sold twice as many the week after they dropped the price?
thats unmazing!
-
so they sold two instead of one?
-
what I find particularly funny is the fact that xbox is still needing halo (expected halo + xbox pack for 169,-) to sell the consoles....it\'s a launch game for christ\'s sake!
-
Was expecting these comments, no bias here one way or the other. I\'m just happy for the competition, putting pressure on Sony to match the price.
-
yeh without Halo the XBOx just woudnt have sold

I find it even funnyer that they still have HALO at FULL price...
Shouldn\'t they put it on the Budget Range by now ?
-
It\'s $30 ya know.
-
How much lower will it go and when?
-
$150 and a free Halo game, I think.
-
Don\'t want Halo...
-
it is already??? isnt it??? or its v soon. halo that is
-
... You guys do know that the SE Xbox with that HALO is bundled with is limited, and priced at $169.99, right? This is the regular Xbox, with no game bundled, with the price drop to $149.99, that has doubled in sales.
And HALO is $30, going on $20(it\'s stated to hit the platinum/classics/whatever the hell it\'s called lineup).
[EDIT] - And there\'s been quite a bit of press on more recent Xbox games like Ninja Gaiden and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I do not deny that the \'box is where it\'s at today because of HALO, but it\'s not the cause of the Xbox\'s recent jump in sales.
... You wouldn\'t believe how many times I had to edit that. It was embarassing. :(
