HALELUJA!!! however it\'s spelled. Im damn happy to see this one. I wonder why we havent seen it on any of the E3 lists. The shots, while small and kinda blurry look pretty damn good and the sound of a prequel doesnt sound bad at all.
The only thing I want to know is: ARE THEY BRINGING BACK THE OLD TEAM!?!?
I mean everybody knows how insanely great DMC was and how shitty the new team made 2. All i want is a REAL DMC game from the REAL developvers.
Is that too much to ask???
Oh. And another thing:
If this tells us nothing about mundus, Alastor, Force Edge, Trish or Neo A. etc. Then im going to kill capcom.

I hope this time it offers the super-fast combo action usually found in 2D games that was presented in DMC1 than the slow motion captured stupid moves of DMC2.
That game needed so many corrections.
1)Slow moves
2)Stupid long distance cameras
3)lag between button pressing and execution of the attack ledt you many times exposed to an enemy attack
4) What happened to the cool boss fights?
5)Stupid enemies and tacticts to defeat them were lame. *thinks of the shadow cat like monster and spiders*.
6)Devil trigger SUCKED majorly!!Why in the world have they taken out Alastor and Irfrit?
7)Weapons sucked.No sense of difference and lacked character
8)add a billion reasons more

Devil May Cry 3: First infos!
Here the first information relating to Devil May Cry 3 appeared in the last PSM:
- the play would be in fact a prequel.
- the Producer of the series Tsuyoshi Tanaka wishes to take again the graphic style of the first opus.
- the play will be presented at the time of E3 but the special movements will not be revealed to avoid the Spoilers.
- the new system of the gameplay called \' style system\' will make it possible to the player to choose between several styles of movements at the beginning of the play such as Gunslinger, Swordmaster, Trickster, and Royal Guard. The gained points d’expérience throughout play could be added to these styles which have each advantage and of the disadvantages.
- the transformation of Dante into Demon remains still a secrecy.
- the length of the play will be comparable with the first opus, one also indicates the same quantity of enygmes to be solved.
- the levels were conceived in such manner to be able to effectively use all the movements and others combo carried out by our hero.
- Devil May Cry 3 has a new three-dimensional chart engine, that makes it possible to the originators to add new special effects, the enemies for example will consist of sand.
- the environments will be much more destructible.
- the shades and lights will be more realistic.
- effects related to the climate will be present.
- the play will comprise missions with scenes kinematics.
- Certain missions will not have a Boss and others will have several of them.
- New female character still unknown.

As a former Capcom whore, who did not pick up Maximo: Army of Zin and other recent Capcom games due to the lack of quality, let me explain my utter hatred for DMC2 and most likely DMC3....
(1) I see a city. You know what, I see the same damn brown city I saw in the second one. You know what this does to me? It gives me bad flashbacks. How many of you actually suffered all the way through DMC2? If you did, you would realize just how bad that city was and how tiresome it becomes.... I see a city and I do not like the idea of another f**kin\' brown city...
(2) Where\'s Dante\'s shirt? I understand it\'s a prequel, so I am just going to assume he can\'t afford a shirt now, right? What in the hell are they thinkin\'? He was a cool character, one of the coolest, so what do they do? They take a shirt off of him and make him look downright gay. He almost looks like an Aussie.
(3) Unknown Female Character? May I ask why we need another female character? They added nothing to the previous two, so why go f**k around and add another female character into the "prequel"? Friggin\' idiotic.
(4) What happened, Capcom? You\'ve taken some great franchises and pissed them away. Resident Evil? You made RE0...DMC? You made a piss-poor sequel. Mega Man? Well, you\'ve been pissing away on that one for the last two years.
Bright side is, Onimusha 3 is getting great reviews, now I just need to debate if I want to actually buy it and dig out the PS2.
Oh and..I see another damn brown city, go figure. I guess they decided it would be to expensive to make new enviroments, so we can just recycle the crap enviroments used in the god-awful sequel, known as DMC2.

LIC, did you see my post? it was rather small but i feel the same way you do...why they would go back to the city environments is beyond me. what ever happended to the exotic locales of the 1st one? like i said before i\'ll reserve judgement until more info comes but i\'m not liking what i hear so far from the jump...

1)There is a small comment under a pic that gives hope. "......architecture look like DMC1 taken to the next level".And the enviroment in that pic reminds a bit of a certain area in DMC1.Well...thast just hope ofcourse

yeah city = ghey. Well at least modern. I mean what modern city has been infested with fricken demons where the rest of the damn world doesnt know? It\'s retarded.
I think trish was pretty dope in DMC. It was only when lucia came around that i hated female partners. She had no reason to be in the game. And the final boss? What a f*ing pussy. Mundus would slaughter him.
The game needs to have a sinister feel. All this poppy "im in a city with neon light" bull is going to piss me off. Capcom made such a legendary game with DMC and they murdered it. Its one of the most original games ive ever seen out of this generation.
I know how you feel LIC. Its quite hard to be calm and mention this series. Capcom is loosing its marbles and its sickening really.
Oh, and is it me or is that NOT Alastor or Force Edge? Knowing that Dante got it from his father, it only makes sense that he would have at least force edge.

prequel, this is going to suck...... i mean, dante gets his powers in dmc, he doesnt start with any, there forrre he must have no powers in this game. as he doesnt get the allistar??? the sword that gives him thunder power....... so that is gonna suck, and correct me if im wrong, but can you not turn into devil trigger mode till u have got the sword??

Yep.You couldnt use the devil trigger in the beginning till you got Alastor.And thats strange.....no devil trigger in DMC3?

imo i thought the graphics in the 1st one was way better that the 2nd...hell they are still talkin about all this matrix type moving ability motion captured stuff..that crap from pt2 was horrible...i\'d rather just prefer the 1st engine used in the first one with alistor & everything else beside all this gay crap...it baffles me how capcom can go from one extreme to the next...

Thats right i forgot. There cant be Alastor because he got it in DMC. Force Edge should be there though. They will make some sort of excuse to include these things. It really pisses me off that they can do all of this.
IF (and thats an almost impossible if) this game is good then that will be one of the greatest things of this (or whenever) year. Though i cant see them bringing this one from the ashes.
And i agree w/ clips. I think the graphics for 1 were better

Does anyone know who\'s controlling the development team now? When they decided to make DMC2 they had a different guy overseeing the project than with the first.
If it\'s the same guy as the one who was in charge of DMC1 I think it has a better chance of being good.

The pics remind me of DMC2 though :(=Motion captured lagging moves.And I hope they got rid of the small animation pauses when you hit an enemy or got hit.
I still dont see any cathedrals, medieval castles etc enviroments :mad:

Sometimes i hate hearing info on anticipated games like this. It always takes a million years for them to come out. They only create more hype than needed.

i agree. i don\'t know if this cat read the reviews of the 2nd one or not..i\'\'d say get rid of all these colorful gay themes and take the color palette in another direction..maybe along the lines of grey & black & dark tones, but still keeping the unique style from the 1st game. even the way dante walked in the 1st game was fly as hell,..in the 2nd game it looked liked he walked with a twitch..:ghey:

Setting: Prequel
Premise: Not a damn thing to do with Devil May Cry or DMC 2, except for a younger Dante, who\'s apparently "full of piss and vinegar."
Fiction: Over an hour of cinema -- almost no CG.
The Suave: Versus, Twin Snakes director Ryuhei Kitamura sets up the cutscenes.
Gameplay: Style system allows players to pick a style (hand-to-hand, gunslinger, swordfighter, acrobat, etcetera) and then pour points into that style to develop Dante in specific ways.
Pacing: As long as the first game and as puzzle focused.
Pugilist Love: Hand-to-hand fighting and expanded combos will proportedly "blow DMC1 away."
Fluidity: Better animations and better animation transitions.
Chaos: More destructible environments.
Bosses: Pattern dependent baddies can no longer be mindlessly chopped to death.
Crazy Giant Weapons: The old twelve foot, curvy electro-sword will definitely make an appearance.

He had some powers before. We unlocked certain moves in DMC but not the powers really. I mean think about it. Hes been in the business and he knows his dad is sparda. I dont think that out of nowhere he just figures when he gets alastor that he can transform.
Anyway. This is looking preatty shitty. The sword shouldnt even be there and if this has nothing to do with the first game at all or even the DMC Universe, then this is going to be a hack and slash with more depth to the hacking and slashing. Thats about it.
The original wasnt just driven by the action. If the story sucked the big one, then i highly doubt that it would have gotten as much praise, especially on these forums.

In his office in DMC1 you could see many swords stabbed on demon heads hanged on the walls.Hints probably to previous adventures of his and swords he gained.
Got to agree.The story wasnt one of the best.But thankfully it was executed well enough to keep people satisfied and interested.It was a part of Dante\'s past,story and backround.Even some of the bosses were a part of his past (like Angelo).Dante and the story evolved and progressed together in DMC1 making gamers to appreciate and like Dante even more.Unlike the stupid DMC2 storyline featuring a stupid spoiled rich idiot as a boss with a gayish idiotic voice trying to become an all powerfull demon or something, a stupid old lady with bunny teeth that playied almost no role in the story and a useless female character with almost no backround at all.It was just Dante placed there with the excuse of a shity story.Bleh.You sometimes even hated Dante.He was so different as a character.

Well...i ommit the size and give attention to the "curvy electro-sword".Also to point that out it probably means that they are refering to the previous sword.
