Title: need your help..
Post by: Tyrant on May 03, 2004, 09:15:17 AM
hey guys, i\'m working on a presentation on how the "mp3 codec  works" so i would just like to know wether any of u have any links to sites with detailed descriptions of how the codec works i.e showing how sampling, compression and other aspects are done.

till now all i found is a large number of sites all having the same info and all contain theoretical gargin and nothing on the technical aspect.
so if any of u guys know of site with helpful info regarding this topic  i\'d be extremely greatful if u can direct me to them.

thanks in advance :).

Too bad you didn\'t do this project when r3mix.net was in its prime (or even up).  A bunch of articles and debates over Mp3..

Here are two I googled:

http://www.jocsoft.com/vvmp3/mp3ite.htm
http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/mp3.html
