Title: Pitch Black - Chronicles
Post by: Cyrus on May 25, 2004, 08:26:04 AM: Ok let start off with IM A PUSS and dont watch scary movies... So that being said I say the previews for the chronilces and thought it look pretty good my friend says well did you see Pitch Black because it was kinda the movie before chronicle. I have never seen pitch black becuase I thought it was a horror film. My friend says No. So off to bestbuy.com i go cause they are throwing in a free movie pass and low and behold its listed as horror..... well is it or not?

note I didnt add the its sucks ass so dont buy it the only reason at this point i wont buy it is iff its gonna be scary.

Edit - I\'ve noticed that people who are scared of horror flicks tend to be very empathic people in real life. So that explains why they get scared for those in the movies - they put themselves in their shoes!

It obviously has some \'tense\' parts, and there is a bit of gore, but nowhere near to normal horror movie standards.

It\'s not bad for a popcorn flick. It would have been better if there was some boobs shown. ;)

Pitch black is one of my favorite movies of all time. dont puss out man.. You gotta see the first one before you see the chronicles!

Post by: THX on May 25, 2004, 11:42:04 AM: Pitch Black was like the Mummy 1 & 2. Nice popcorn flick in a cool backdrop with a pretty good casting. I liked it but I don\'t remember being genuinely scared like I was for Excoricist.

Man what are you talking about? When Aliens first came out, that shit was pretty f***ing creepy. Ive actually had nightmares about those things. :p

And MP: Im sorry, but Pitch Black as a favorite movie is just .... damn. Too sad to describe. Dont get me wrong and and all. Youre a kool guy, but WTF does that movie have to make anybody wet their willies except for Vin for the little girlies?

Mind you if you where scared of the Dark... it might not be the film to get you over that fear.

LIC did you really get anything out of it... I had a very difficult time watching it after the first 10 minutes. The only humor I found in it was the House of the Dead video game scenes that would pop onto the screen every so often.

I wasnt scary and I thought the fact the kept the creature not to well lit actually helped them not so faky as most monster movies do.

haha.. I know what scene your talking about... And I love how they cut to the Holy man right after that.. The look on his face is priceless.

You ever been to a haunted house before? A real one? How about in the forest in the middle of the night with no lights, plenty of snakes and large carnivores? Ever swam in a murky ocean where you couldn\'t see two feet in front of you and get bumped by a shark? I have. Believe me....I was terrified.
