Anyways, I worked lastnight, came home, went to bed this mornin\'. Around 3:00 pm, it sounded like all the windows was going to bust. Woke up, went outside and apparently a tornado had hit us. Part of our roof is gone , tree\'s are on top of my parents cars, part of the neighbors roof is laying on another car of ours, the bar across from us was flattened. It was fairly intense. Never been part of one before and can say it was strangely exciting, but at the same time extremely scarey.

hurricane twice, blew the windows off my room, i didnt even wake up, only when my alarm went off. whole village i lived in once got snowed in too
-
I had earthquake shake here, but not to the point of breaking everything inside the house, when I was around 12 or 13 or so, it have a shake of about 6ish point and it once every 4 or 5 years.
Thank goodness the house didn\'t collapse and hopefully we won\'t have to be near the earthquake where everything falls apart.

There was a tornado that went by a mile down my road. Didn\'t even know it hit until I was going to the local super market and all the trees were down. It was sweet. Unfortunately, my friends house got hit. Good thing she\'s alright and no serious damage. Lost a lot of her trees and a few shingles though.

two big earthquakes, and some pretty bad storms.

Godamn!
I got a weird thing for Tornados. I\'m terrified of them and at the same time extremely facsinated by them.
We had a Tornado touch down close to us here just last Friday.

Does a 122 degrees count? Come on in live in phx, az we have no natural disasters unless you count the heat....
-
I live in new york, nothing happens here cept for a few crapped out semi-hurricanes.

Tornado\'s smacked Lancaster county Saturday Night...a town 25 miles Southeast of Lincoln got absolutley destroyed. Of the 250 peole that live in the town, one died, and 75% of them are homeless. Norris High School, a High School about 20 miles South of Lincoln, was completley damaged, and they don\'t know if they can start schools next Fall.
A bunch of kids are getting on a Bus at 1 pm tomorrow to go down to Hallam and help out with the cleaning crews. The four counties in the area are National Disaster Areas...scary shit, my friends.
See Yuz.

Recently there has been several close calls for Tornadoes up here in Michigan. This weather is insane. Everything is flooded, a lot of roads are closed and I can\'t get to school without going 5 miles out of my way. Also, lightning has struck our tree in our backyard, scarest noise I have ever heard. But yea, these Tornadoes have come within 1 mile of my house. Kind of nerve-racking but its alright.

I\'m in the heartland of earthquake country (as demonstrated by the ring of fire in the pacific ocean) and we get earthquakes here fairly regularly. I was around when we had that big \'ol 7.1 earthquake that leveled (and crispied due to a fire afterwards caused by the earthquake) part of San Francisco and put the Bay Bridge out of commission. I was also alive when the Oakland hills fire destroyed a great deal of everything in the Oakland hills. The next big one is suspected to hit between now and the end of the year either in LA or here in SF. Though it may sound a bit cynical, I\'d rather it be in LA.

I\'ve been through about 10 hurricanes. USe to chase them when I was in the news business. We would drive in to where others were being evacuated from.
Also was in an earthquake in Mexico one time. Leveled a 4 story hotel. Luckily not in the town I was in. ALthough we did travel to see it.

Earthquakes. Lots. Some were so bad the ground literally moved like a wave. Until I saw it myself, I never believed that was possible.
-
Several hurricanes since I live near the ocean. I used to go out and watch stuff flying around and various other destruction caused by them.
One time I was walking back home from the inlet in Ocean City and an Air Conditioning unit got blown off a roof and landed about 20 feet away from me. I think it was hurricane Bonnie, like 4 or 5 years ago. I promptly got my ass home as quick as I could after that. I got some pics I took during the hurricane somewhere, it\'s amazing how powerful they are.
I\'ve also seen several tornadoes when I lived in Kansas City during my childhood. One time I remember seeing one way off in the distance while sitting on my front porch as a child, it was like no big woop then.

We had a mini earthquake a couple of years back. The whole house shook in the middle of the night.

You have a bar accross the street? Good times my friend.. good times.

-
I\'ve seen about 3 tornados up close. Thats what happens if you live in tornado alley.
-
Yup, living in Texas your no stranger to this, I lived near Jarrell, Tx, the city got leveled by an F5 tornadoe, had a couple touchdown around me, but nothing like in my house or backyard.

Being in a big city, we just have really bad storms and strong winds (hence the windy city. Although its not because of the winds that its called that). Every now and then we get some semi bad flooding but not too bad like regular towns. There have been times where the freeway was so flooded that cars were halfway sunk. How it happened i dont know but my basement got F***ed.
The suburbs a little ways outside of chicago get some bad storms and frequent tornados. They arent all really huge though.
-
It rained last night...
I was indoors, napping...
-
So.... anybody going to see \'The Day After Tommorrow\'?
:)
-
Saw it today.
Was decent.
-
I\'ve been through a couple hurricanes and a tornado was pretty close once.
I saw the movie, it wasn\'t bad I guess.
-
All the movie done for me, is want the end of time to happen even something like that. A bunch of natrual diasters at once...That\'d be the fitting way for it to all go down.
