Rainbow Six is also a book. I\'m not sure what came first, or if they came out simultaneously..

Book came out first.  Never heard of a book being based on a videogame :p

And now to quote Airheads:
Quote
- "67 copies of "Moby Dick."
- "The movie or the book?"
- "They made a book outta that!?"

Books based on games? What, you never heard of the Halo book? It was pretty well received..

There\'s also Doom, Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros, and Silent Hill comic books.. among others.

Not walkthroughs...

Actual novels...

Some of them are based almost entirely on the game and some just take the name and create a whole new story...

Resident Evil, for example...
