Title: Saw Reagan\'s casket at the Capitol after 6 hours in line.
Post by: GmanJoe on June 14, 2004, 04:07:06 AM: I gotta say, not since PS2 have I done an all nighter in a line. But this line was moving. No chance to fall asleep or time to rest yer knees and back. I\'d say the line meandered about 5 miles long before it straightened at the pool in front of the Capitol and the Botanical Garden.

Once passed security, it was another 30 minutes before we got in to see Reagan\'s casket. I swear, I was beyond tired by that time. I was literally dreaming as I stood leaning against the granite sculptured banisters of the old Capitol. But as soon as I took those steps into the dome of the Rotunda, I felt like I was awakened. Seeing the casket in person will be one of the most memorable moments in my life.

I have no political agenda in this post. Please no politicking here, ooseven and Unicron. We all know how much you hate us Americans.

PS...... I should get mm\'s cynical cookie reply or his usual, "Who Cares?". :)

My tongue does a hell of a better job....but you live too far away and my tongue can only reach as far as North Carolina before it dries out.

Post by: THX on June 14, 2004, 12:47:28 PM: You drove all the way from NC!? My friend went to see it too, also waited 6 hours on the Mall. Our fahja wanted to take us to see it too but he had an inkling it would have been one helluva wait.

Were you in the area or just a big Reagan fan?

Not really. I met some pretty cool people there. Had some funny polical debates with a few democrats, learned a few new jokes, got to swap stories about other places.....

I even heard from one of them (though I\'ve yet to confirm it) that Ray Bradburry is suing Michael Moore\'s Ferenheit 9/11

In fact its quite the opposite …know quite a lot of people who have a “she’s Gone Party already planned”…Not me though ..

I plan to be ironic and toast the moment with a class of Milk…Seeing that it was Thatchers decision to stop free milk to Primary Schools (our version of elementary schools).

But then again in saying that…. I don’t think true evil really dies…. ;)
