I thought it would be cool to see the games we have all completed and those we haven\'t but intend to...someday;) Perhaps this would give us the motivation to finish them.
We should stick to the current generation of systems, I\'m not going to include DC for myself because it would be a HUGE list.

Kingdom Hearts (WONT FINISH IT TILL I BEAT SEPHIROTH )
Let me know when that happens and how you did it.;)

I almost beat him a few times. You should cast wind all the time after he starts showing his more powerful moves. Its a matter of timing and luck as well. Not just strategy.
-
You haven\'t beaten RE: C:V?
You suck...
-
I havent beaten it because I lost interest.
-
I\'ve beaten plenty of games this generation, but many of the ones I complete I sell off or trade in towards my next purchase. So this list will be kind of small in that regard...

A frined of mine managed to beat Ninja Gaiden.Quite an achievement.
-
Uni: I could beat the boss in Normal Mode right now, but I don\'t have the urge. Too busy with SC:PT/Four Swords.
-
Are you refering to the final boss in Ninja Gaiden? There is an air striking move which if you keep repeating he is helpless.pretty weak compared to other bosses I must say.
-
He is weak, yeah. I got him down to nothing and died my first time, haven\'t tried since.
-
It wont take you long if you find the right move.Few minutes.Around 5 minutes.Thats how long it took for my friend to kick his ass.
-
Ryu, how was Crystal Chronicles? Did the story ever pick up?
Vexx is a game I rented and somewhat enjoyed...until I got to the swimming stage. I might buy it someday if I find it in a bargain bin or something.
-
CC was not worth the time and effort. Actually, I\'d go as far as to say it\'s one of the worst Final Fantasy games ever. People should not waste their time with this one. Believe me -- I did it with 3 other people and they all agree. Thankfully, Four Swords is so much fun, all is forgiven about that horrible CC crap.
Vexx isn\'t too bad at all really and I do agree that swimming was one of the worst parts, sorta like the swimming in Metal Gear Solid 2 though not quite as clunky.
-
It became quite redundant by year four and I just couldn\'t see any point in continuing...never did get to try it in multiplayer though.
I wasn\'t aware Four Swords had been released already! Glad to know it\'s a good one.
Spotted Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball...*snickers*;)
-
At least BMX XXX isn\'t on there. ;)
[Edit] -- I just wanted to say that this thread is working. I\'m going through Ninja Gaiden right now and I\'m already up to chapter 7. Heading to bed though so hopefully that baby should be in the bag by tomorrow. Could Itagaki be anymore blatant with some of his references? I mean, swallowing up the blonde girl with a tentacle monster and then showing her again all slimy, lest we forget of course the eternal springs in the shape of a prototype Xbox... Ugh.

Just finished Jak2 :p

Perhaps it should be a sticky? Each member can have one post that they update.
just an idea
-
Yeah, pretty much everybody I know agrees about FF:CC.
It\'s such a pretty game.. it seems like a waste..
If they just increased the combat-system/gameplay depth, made the stages bigger, removed the chalice and its limitations, added voice acting, and cut out at least half of the worthless cut-scenes.. it\'d be fine.

This maybe a little off topic but how comes I don\'t see Ginko name on the mod list?
-
Because the debate forum is hidden.
-
Vivi, you\'re going to have to take out the spaces in the tags.
Made some progress on Ratchet and Clank...woohoo! It\'s more fun than I thought before. I\'m hoping to beat R&C this week, then get FFTactics on my complete list shortly thereafter.
-
Well I didnt get a chance to list them all and im not even going to attempt to make an incompleted list. So here is just part of the completed list for just PS2 (my main console. The others would just add too much).

Tonight, Ninja Gaiden was added to the completed list and Psi-Ops was added to the incomplete list. Hopefully, Psi Ops will be a lot more fun then Ninja Gaiden as I would think Ninja Gaiden for its poor camera deserves no more then an 8/10 on its score, but that\'s just me.
-
I\'m also working on Four Swords. It\'s funny how greatly the fun factor multiplies after you add just a 3rd player.
I haven\'t played with 4 yet, but based on the transition from 2P to 3P.. I\'d suspect it\'d be bliss.
-
6/20/04
Ratchet & Clank is on my complete list(with all 40 gold bolts!). The game was more fun than I thought it could be. I\'ll add R&C: Going Commando to my collection soon. [10/10]
Blood Rayne is added to my complete list. I was ready for this game to be over about 5 hours in, right before things got ridiculous with the story line. I don\'t even know what the game was about. What I do know is that poor level design, a shoddy story, and shallow fighting mechanics make for a dull experience. I wasn\'t even amused when Rayne shot the finger several times at the end.../shrugs shoulders. [5/10]
-
here is my list.. Im at work, so I\'ll look thru all my games and update later.. these are just what I can think of off the top of my head:

Finished Kingdom Hearts today including beating Sephiroth. Also unlocked the secret movie which is different from the one I downloaded some time ago on my PC
I thought the game would have showed me Cloud battling with Sephiroth after I beat him becuase I downloaded a clip a long time ago showing just that :(
Also is it me or is there a world that was left unexlpored? There is a world at the left of Traverse Town I dont remember visiting,
-
The following games have been added to my incomplete list:
Ratchet & Clank:Going Commando
ICO
R&C:GC is so much fun, it just might be my favorite platform game this gen, beating out the original Jak&Daxter.
-
Finished Resident Evil:Code Veronica X
I liked the return of Wesker and a few specific enviroments that bring flashbacks of Resi1.The story was great. The execution of it sucked though as well as the music. Not scary at all.Just slightly more challenging than Resi 2 and 3.
......*remembers the atmosphere in Resi1*
-
I thought RE:CV was the easiest of the series, RE 2 being the most difficult
Mario Sunshine added to my incomplete list. What the hell is wrong with Nintendo? Why did they let something like a decent camera system slip? Seriously, having to adjust it so I\'m not looking into a wall is frustrating.
-
RE was easily the most difficult and CV was the easiest.
-
Mario Sunshine added to my complete list. No, I\'m not that quick. I had borrowed the game a long time ago and had acquired around 50 shines and quit because I was frustrated. I decided it\'s a game I wanted to complete so there ya go. 74 shines. The game wouldn\'t have been half as difficult if it weren\'t for the camera being all screwy.
While I\'m here, I had rented Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and I got all the way to the last planet. Had to return it before I could beat it. I plan on waiting until it drops down to $20 to purchase it. Highly recommended if you enjoyed the first one.
-

Yep.Less ammo, less powerful weapons, less aids and herbs zombies didnt fall so easily or sent back after a few shots. couldnt push them away (two bites could kill you), the Hunters sometimes killed you instantly, and two many narrow corridors.
Probably the most claustrophobic Resi.
I found Resi2 and Resi3 easier than CV though.Especially Res3.Probably its becuase its been a long time since I playied Resi2 thus I dont remember well how hard it was.
-
I am still trying to finish NG. Oh and sands of time.
-
Added Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc to my collection.
I\'m not all that impressed with it, definitely not as much fun as Rayman 2. The camera does some pretty awkward things at times, I find myself controlling it most of the time. I HATE that the enemies have guns now AND deflect Rayman\'s projectile. Also, some of the stages are awfully dark not to mention they aren\'t all that intuitive.
Glad it was only $20.
-
RE 0 is harder...
Mainly cause of the stupid way Capcom programmed the Partner system...
If you get grabbed by a zombie but don\'t get bitten cause your partner shot him off, you still take damage...
I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE FREAKING POINT OF A PARTNER!!!
Ammo was even more scarce...
-
The original RE was easily the hardest. They all got pissier each time. I finished REmake not even having used my Magnum, about 40 shotgun rounds, 40 pistol rounds and about 8 First Aid sprays. Not to mention all the herbs. Bleh. Though that could be because I played the first to death. But 2, 3 and CV were easy as pie. Sweet sweet pie..... mmm...
Code Veronica, however, sucked.
Bringing back Wesker in such a gay way sucked.
You all suck.

Completed Rayman 3 for GC.
hmmmm...I\'m not sure where to start so I\'ll just type this as it comes to mind.
The humor from Rayman 2 was there although I think it became a bit much in certain areas. I wanted to turn off Globox several times and even went into the options to turn down the fx all the way just so I didn\'t have to hear him. The tinsies provided me with several laughs as did some of the enemies..."tear off his flesh" , "spit in his eye" , "make him write bad checks".
The camera proved to be a nuisance(sp?) in most cases, even when I was moving it myself I could never get it where I wanted it. Made jumping and hovering to different platforms far more of a chore than it should have been. Manageable.
Some of the stages just weren\'t fun, imo. Each stage had basically the same objective of freeing the tinsies(sp?), however it wasn\'t always very clear where to go. Add to that some of the stages were very dark and difficult to navigate. Rayman 3 did have its\' moments and that\'s what kept me playing.
The enemies almost ruined the game. Most of them had weapons and usually came in crowds (especially late in the game) making it impossible to defeat them without taking a hit. (Those that didn\'t have weapons are invincible, it was only in one stage though) Also I don\'t like that their guns could reach 3-4 times further than my projectile. Then again the game gives you alot of life to counter this, I didn\'t die once in the entire game.
The graphics are beautiful however the game isn\'t always consistent, parts of some stages just seemed to be ignored while others were absolutely stunning.
Rayman 2 was awesome and you\'d think that the three years between the sequel they would have made something a bit more impressive.
Not the worst game I\'ve played. 3/5
-
Personally i like the 10 point scale:p

Devil May Cry 2 complete. I really can\'t complain since it only cost me 15 bucks but the game is kinda short and and it definitely gets a repetitive feeling that I didn\'t get from the first game.
meh...
Almost done with Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. I\'m at the last boss and it\'s kicking my ass. I haven\'t been lucky enough to get a target-all forbidden and I can\'t seem to get my hands on a card to include it.
Took Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles off my incomplete list, I\'m not going to play it...I\'d rather forget it ever happened.
-
Beat Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. I love this series so much, Up Your Arsenal can\'t some soon enough.
Added Mario Kart Super Circuit to my incomplete list.
-
beat silent hill 4..excellent game...get it...
-
Whoah, this is a nice idea, but I think it\'d be too much of a hassle for me to try and make a complete list. The list would also be rather subjective, as I take "finishing" games pretty seriously: Viewtiful Joe is not complete before all difficulty levels bow down before me with perfect V performaces; Devil May Cry on DMD still has a couple of S-ranks missing; there are 3 songs in Amplitude that I haven\'t yet scored 4 bars in; etc...
I feel like a loonie at times, who in the hell needs to have 255 stats in Final Fantasy X, for example. And the game\'s a piece of...
Aww to hell with it, I\'ll try to compile some sort of a list :
Completed... in a way...
GBA
Yoshi\'s Island (still a dozen or so stages to complete with a perfect score)
Castlevania : Circle of the Moon (4th playthrough, thief mode I think?)
Sonic Advance (ran through the bugger, not as good as I hoped)
Super Mario World (still not 100% complete, but I did that several times on the SNES...)
Metroid Fusion (Hard mode not complete)
GameCube
Eternal Darkness (all gods worshipped...)
Super Mario Sunshine (missing about half a dozen blue coins)
Metroid Prime (100% everything)
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil
PS2
Dark Chronicle
Devil May Cry
Frequency
Amplitude
Final Fantasy X
Burnout
Burnout 2
Maximo
SSX
Rez
Resident Evil CV X
Tekken 4
Tekken Tag Tournament
Zone of the Enders
Metal Gear Solid 2
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Silent Hill 4
Kuri Kuri Mix
Jak & Daxter
Ratchet & Clank
Sly Raccoon
...
This is taking too long, and I don\'t even have a clue which games I own anymore. Aww, my poor collection residing over a 100 kilometres away from me... damned university!
-
I just bought Gunvalkyrie and Panzer Dragoon Orta on ebay for $10 each.
I\'ve played Gunvalkryie before and it pissed me off, but I\'m willing to give it another shot. I kept dying at the boss on top of Nalfgar\'s Pit.
I\'m looking forward to playing another Panzer Dragoon:D
I was also looking into some other Xbox games since I missed out on the past two years. I think I\'ll pick up Chronicles of Riddick after I\'m done with Halo 2...

-
Have 4 games. I am in a pit to decide which to play first.
-
eek, four months and nobody has finished a game. Slackers!
Currently playing: Banjo-Tooie
-
just finished god of war...this game has the potential to be game of the year...excellent game...go get it...
-
Finished MGS3 4 weeks ago and Onimusha3 months ago but forgot to update
-
heh i finished mgs3 about a month ago...i think i\'m ready for mgs to advance their gameplay a bit...it\'s a great game..i just found the gameplay to be a bit dated this time around....
-
Yes, yes. God of War looks great, but I\'ll have to wait until it\'s $20 or less.
I found Quantum Redshift on Xbox for $5, and after having spent a few hours with it I can definitely say it\'s not worth that $5.
I really expected more since this game is from ex-members of Psygnosis, makers of the excellent Wipeout games. Wipeout is fun because it\'s fast and, to beat it, demands precise manuevers and handling, which is made possible due to drifting. Hit a wall, you slow down, hit an opponent you slow down. It\'s all about perfecting the skills of racing, and Wipeout is great because of that.
Curly Monsters, the developers of Quantum Redshift, threw out all of what makes Wipeout great and went their own route. No longer do you have to worry about slowing down if you hit a wall or an opponent, and this is where I think the biggest problem is. There is no incentive to learn the tracks, you can simply boost out of your mistakes. The game is fast, faster than Wipeout could ever hope to be, but the sense of victory just isn\'t as there after a race.
Weapons is what the game is centered around, and the opponents constantly bombard you with different projectiles. These do slow you down, and quite a bit. This wouldn\'t be so much of a problem except to defend yourself you must first build up your shield, then you must activate it anytime you need to use it (lasts a few seconds). However, you can only collect up to 3 shield uses at a time which, later on, proves to be insufficient as the opponents get very aggressive....
I could rant somemore but I\'ll just leave it. Stick with Wipeout.
-
Finished Doom 3 a while ago. Cute as a kitten and as daft as one too. Still enjoyed it rather much. Seems like it was a one-time affair, since no matter how I try, I can\'t play through the game a second time on a harder setting, no matter how I try to convince myself that it\'ll be "fun"... Pity. Next stop: Half-Life 2.
Metroid Prime 2 was a great experience with some really nice moments. It lacked the "WTF it\'s 3D but still Metroid whoa dude!?" impact factor, and instead felt like "Yay more Prime..." Which is nowhere near a bad thing. I\'m some hours away from a 100% run, but do I really care enough? I could still get a decent price for it in exchange for Resident Evil 4.
Metal Gear Solid 3. Sorted. It totally blew me away in many respects, but as someone already noted, the gameplay felt a bit dated. Some great little improvements that were sadly underdeveloped (like being able to tilt the view around with the other stick.) Loved the characters, loved the story, loved (/hated) the gameplay... One of my favourite games ever.
-
I found Shenmue II for $10 and Soul Calibur 2 for $15. Great deals on great games.
So far I\'ve only watched the Shenmue movie to refresh myself on what was going on since I played the original over 4 years ago, and now I miss my Dreamcast again.:(
Soul Cally 2 is alot of fun, I haven\'t played with this series since the Dreamcast release. Glad to pick it up again.:)
-
Ahhh. Dreamcast. I miss the insanely loud fan. :) It had lots of great games, though...and Shenmue is in a class all its own.
-
Class of "not actually being much of a game"? Shenmue was/is a horrible game, and at the same time, utterly and totally spellbinding to a point of total absurdity. "Ah, I thinks me will haves a sodiepop. Glug glug." Few a game has left me as hungry for continuation as Shenmue 2. The end was just... GRAARH!
My DC used to go cuckoo when I played Soul Calibur, the whirring and clicking and flying nuts and bolts and... Still it worked fine :p
Enough reminiscing! On topic : Bye bye F-Zero GX and Metroid Prime 2, hello Resident Evil 4. What a blast that was. Silly plot and characters again (it\'s Resi who gives a flying duck), but one fact really made this game: it\'s actually FUN to play. Didn\'t see that one coming. The mini-games keep me coming back for quick entertaining bouts of gory action.
Also, this month I\'ve been mostly wearing porridge, while playing No One Lives Forever. Dashing oldie. I\'ve had it for years, but my old comp couldn\'t handle it (yes, it was a pile of assorted twigs with a midget inside).

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (Xbox).
A great game, exceptional even, in many respects. I\'m just sorry I passed it up for so long.
-
Psychonauts: great game, too bad I don\'t own an xbox to finish picking up the extras (I finished it at a friends house)
If I get the energy I\'ll try to finish up GT4, but ugh, I think I might just sell it and pick something else up.
-
Finished SH4 5 days ago.Pretty good I must say.Certaintly a different exprerience than the other silent hill games and I liked the new ideas. But for some reason it didnt feel as sinister to me as the previous games.
I found it more challenging though than SH2 and 3

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Xbox)
I\'ve been meaning to pick this game up for a while but I was always waiting to find a good deal on it. It doesn\'t get much better than $9.99 for a like-new game.
I\'ve only played it for about thirty minutes so I can\'t give too solid of an impression, but I\'ve enjoyed it thus far. The controls are tight, the graphics are nice, and the platforming aspect of it is just what I\'ve been looking for.

Forgot about this thread. Right now I started XIII and got to like level 3 and probably gave up for good... I grow tired of games lately...
I started Beetle Adventure Racing and beat Novice and Intermediate. Working on Pro to open the best cars or whatever.
I have a couple games I haven\'t tried yet.
Pokemon Puzzle League and Space Station Silicon Valley on N64. And Sonic Gems Collection on GameCube. This has Sonic CD and some other obscure Sonic games. I should give it a try... I have the other collection and I\'ve never even played it. I should really have a Sonic day to catch up on all I missed out on never having a Genesis...

katamari was about the only game lately i had enough interest to complete.
riddick was before that
-
I haven\'t really had time to play games lately, with college starting again and all. I\'m kind of bored with this generation now it seems. :/ I haven\'t even finished the last 2 games I bought. My consoles are just collecting dust. The only thing I\'m playing right now from time to time is WOW and at the rate I\'m going, I\'ll be a level 60 in 10 years.
-
Last game I bought was DOOM 3. Last game I comepleted...uhm. I don\'t remember, maybe Onimusha 3 when it first came out.

Just bought katamari a few days ago. Most addicting game in quite some time. Kind of dissapointed on the length of the game. I WANT MORE.

I remember Beetle Adventure Racing being a really fun racing game. Good choice!
Space Station Silicon Valley is a pretty cool game. A bit weird to first start playing but in the end it wasn\'t a bad game to be strangely addicted to.

Just Finished: Mario Superstar Baseball (GC) - all Superstars acquired
Now Playing: Myst V: End of Ages - can you say gorgeous?
On Deck: Black & White 2 - Can Peter Molyneux(sp?) win my heart back?

we love katamari came out last week, more of the same (good thing)
and only 20$
:)
Can Peter Molyneux(sp?) win my heart back?
no, but he would like your 50$ instead
i\'m looking forward to another apologetic statement from him as to why his games suck
-
well I think he is still trying to reminisce his "good old days" of gaming creativity when his team consisted of 5-20 people
.
Too bad things have changed and the old way of thinking when it comes to gaming creativity doesnt work anymore in today\'s standards.

I beat Kirby Canvas Curse recently. Tried to get into RE4 again. Found the shotgun this time and still gave up. I hate not liking shooters. I\'m no good at it. I was blasting away zombies but there were too many... Maybe I should just run away, I dunno.
I should try Katamari, too. Does it matter which one?
What else.. I dunno, I made it up to level 8-3 on SMB the other day where I ran out of lives. Bastard jumping hammer brothers.

he didn\'t get $50 from me

good, he needs to get back in the closet and stop wasting gamer\'s time
katamari can be an acquired taste, eik
it\'s just mindless fun

Didn\'t Black and White 2 just get great reviews?
Correct me if I\'m wrong, but I think you have a personal vendetta against Peter Molyneux
-
yeah, great reviews
http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/535410.asp
Molyneux = hype, then letdown
-
ok, I was wrong
sorry, still I didn\'t buy it
-
Uhm.
Not sure what you was trying to prove with that Link, MM, other than the fact that Black and White 2 did get good reviews.......
-
70% average is good?
nice expectations you got there
-
71% out of 40 reviews is good.
Unless you think good means excellent and happen to live in bizzaro world.
-
71% is a D grade where i come from
90% = good
-
I\'m with mm on this one. Sometimes 40 reviewers can be wrong (?), but I wouldn\'t want to spend more than $15-$20 for something so seemingly average.
As a rule.
-Dan
-
They only have 11 reviews there not 40.That average is made only out of 11 reviews.Only 2 of them are below 70%.
Its hard to judge.
2 above 90%
3 from the range of 80-88%
4 at 70%
and 2 below 70%.
Kind of ambiguous. That average isnt informative. We should wait for more reviews.
Also The sample is small.71% is the smallest value of the variation.
Its between 71.3% - 76.4%.
Cant say if its good or bad yet
-
i can
it\'s bad
-
have you played it?
-
yes, in fact i have
peter got the bright idea to put a stupid creature in the middle of a shitty RTS game
oooh, you didnt realize that B&W2 is an RTS game?
:nut:
-
70% on GR is average for a "name" game.
By average, I mean.. a rental. Only buy if you enjoy the genre.
In the case of B&W2.. you can\'t really rent it. It\'s probably worth your time, but would do a lot better in my mind if Peter Molyneux wouldn\'t set the bar so high for Lionhead.
I don\'t think he hyped B&W2 a lot, though. It\'s just a sequel to a flawed "masterpiece"..

Currently playing: X-Men II and Ultimate Spider-Man (PC). After that, probably Quake IV.
-
Quake 4 was fun
Raven did an excellent job
-
Resident Evil 4 is FUCKING AWESOME!

I suck at RE4, I got no where in that game. Twice. Gave up.
Me, I\'m currently on the last case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the Nintendo DS.

Are you refering to the PS2 version?

I have given serious thought to giving RE4 another try. Been desperate for some action.

Does it matter?
They\'re practically the same, except some new content in the PS2 version...

And inferior graphics.
-
Widescreen support!
Oh and inferior graphics.

Yes it is. I don\'t understand all the bad press.

Wrapped up Phoenix Wright. Bought DDR: Mario Mix today. I have largely missed out on the DDR series, but I love it. The Mario minigames are stupid, but the dancing is cool and there\'s a few Mario themes thrown in.
It\'s not as hard as I\'ve seen in arcades and I\'m good enough to hang in there on the Very Hard mode. It\'s a lot of fun.
Though I\'m sore as shit, heh. Played too much today. :)
