Title: Any members from Texas?
Post by: Living-In-Clip on June 14, 2004, 12:32:27 PM
Hey guy\'s, just curious do we have any members from Texas? I am with Capcom at Dallas, Texas right now and was curious as to what there is to do. We have already went to see where JFK was killed and a few other histrotical things. Where\'s the best places to eat and shop?

If you want stuff to do, come to Arlington. We got Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Rangers, but Dallas has all the clubs and badass malls/theaters. Or you guys can canoe on the Brazos, but make sure you\'re up for a physical challenge. Trying to think of other things...

What\'s the best mall in Dallas? We are leaving Dallas Thursday for a road trip thru Waco / Austin / San Antino , I do believe.

The Galleria. It doesnt really look like a mall, it has like 5 stories and I think its on the side of a building or skyscraper. Might have to look it up for directions.

You could also find that asshole Rangers fan that stole a foul ball from that kid at the Cardinals game on Sunday and whoop his ass for the rest of America. That would be nice.

See Yuz.

Only about 145 miles from Dallas/Ft.Worth here, that\'s not much at all in Texas miles.  I also agree, go to Arlington..theres problly a bit more to do there.  Grapevine Mall has a Sega Gameworks in it if your interested in that, greatest arcade ever!  As for Waco...bleh that place is just ugly.  Theres no other way to put it, it has a really nice lake and mall though.  San Antonio, I would suggest checking out the Alamo, River Walk, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and if you have time to drive a few miles...slide over to New Braunfels and spend a day at Schlitterbahn. Rated the numbero uno watepark in the world by the Travel Channel.  You can also go tubing down the river there...lots of drunks.  As for Austin, it\'s been a while since I\'ve been there but I know it has several malls, and then theres the Texas State Capital building if you want to waste some time.  You\'ll also find some good restraunts/bars/clubs...w/e in downtown.  Hope that helps.

Oh snap! Just realised Vivi mentioned Luckys.  I agree with him, make a stop there for some of the best food you\'ll ever eat...people there are also real friendly.

Six Flags in Arlington is a must if you\'re into rollercoasters, they have some of the best.

I\'m located near Austin, you should check out 6th street.  Lake Travis is popular, check out Carlos \'n Charlies or The Oasis....food sucks but there\'s plenty of people and entertainment on the weekends.

Going from Austin to San Antonio you\'ll go right by Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels(sp?), one of my favorite waterparks.

San Antonio has the River Walk(which is a must), the Alamo, and Fiesta Texas.

Thanks guy\'s. We will most likely hit up Six Flags sometime Friday or Thursday.. Almost positive we are goin\' to Waco and see where the Waco incident happened and get pictures of the memorial. Havin\' problems finding a decent strip club in Dallas, may try one of the many cities near us and see.

Did not make it to either place, but did manage to get to Waco and saw where the \'big incident\' happened. Have to say, those ten days flew by and I already miss Texas.
