Seeing some threads mentioning about their upgrade and stuff.  It makes me curious.
How often do you upgrade your graphic card for your pc?

Graphics card upgrades fluctuate for me. I\'ll give you an exact history..

5/98 = 3Dfx Voodoo Rush
4/99 = 3Dfx Voodoo3
10/00 = 3Dfx Voodoo5
5/01 = nVidia GeForce3

All pretty good upgrades, especially the GF3. I paid $400 and I got my money\'s worth, as I still use it.

Accelerated cards

ViperV330.
monster 3d II 8meg.   (3dfx Voodoo2)
added another monster 3d II 8meg in SLI
Tnt2 32meg
Geforce1 32meg.
Geforce2 T400.
Geforce4 Ti4400.
I upgrade about once every 2 to 3 years on graphic cards.

I stay about 1 generation behind to save $$$.  For example I just bought a 5950 right when the 6800\'s are going on sale.

It\'s hard for me to imagine a time when I spend $400 or over for a graphics card.

i always skipped every generation, but bought the top of the line when i did

I do the same as THX. I\'m real due for another upgrade right now. Definatly before Doom 3.

Every three years if I\'m lucky, I\'m due for an upgrade soon. College is forcing me to buy a new one so I\'m set.
