Almost knocked the kid down! I don\'t mind that as much as the fact that he stole the kid\'s ball. What a jerk.

i don\'t think the word redneck does much to a white person. Even the word white trash doesn\'t do much either...
maybe someone shoud come up with a better word that really does sound offensive to a white person...how about they lack the upper lip...

ball fell at the feet of the kid, before he could even grab it the man pushed him out of the way. Pretty much fell into their row pushing the kid and the mom away from each other. He looks so stupid doing it, funny thing is he tried to justify it in the video. :rolleyes:

I watched it on ESPNews and he just pushes him out of the way it\'s not like he landed on him like the ****in\' announcers said he did. Still he could of fell over those seats are small and shit but it is a little overboard.

I doubt he knew the little kid was there since his attention was on the ball. And there have been lots and lots of scuffles over baseballs before and it made zero news unless someone got hurt or fell off the stands. This kid just happened to be there.

Still you don\'t trample a kid to get a foul ball. He knew the kid was there - he was sitting right behind him the whole game - how could he not?
What makes his plight even more amusing is the fact that the two people he came with left without him.

Well, he didn\'t really push the kid as much as he barrelled into the Kid, kicking him into the back of the head, and then fought the mom for the foul ball, then gloated about it once he got it.
Apparently the kid made out pretty well...got at least 2 foul balls and Reggie Sanders, a Right Fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals, game bat. The kid was also apparently on Good Morning America with his mom, and got free tickets to a Mets home game in New York, which isn\'t saying much, but it\'s still pretty good for getting kicked in the back of the head by an oversized Youth Minister ;)

I think he was trying to take a shot at Texans in general. When is this sterotype going to end. It\'s the stupidest thing I\'ve ever heard. Every state has their share of hicks...w/e.

Did you know that there are some countries that have no racial slurs/slang? I lived in one. The racial slurs they did know about were the ones from American/English movies.

They are blowing this thing up. People always hunt balls like that in the stands, it just so happened the only competition he had was a 4 year old kid.

When it comes to my son I wouldn\'t care if you were 8ft tall and 300 lbs. If you hit my child, you would have been curled up in the fetal position from the beating you would have gotten from me.

I don\'t think the man intentionally hit the child. He\'s a big clumsy guy who fell over trying to catch the ball but fell over and rolled into the kid.

In hindsight, yes I would agree, but if it happened in front of me, I would ask questions later so to speak.
People\'s children are a touchy subject. When I was 18 I thought the same way Bozco did, I couldn\'t really stand kids, now being a parent, I have a completely different attitude.

Trust me, after over one week in Texas, I can now say that this state is severely screwed up.
(1) Lady thrown off the George Bush Turnpike, then her husband kills himself by jumping off of it.
(2) Cops caught on camera, breaking into people\'s cars.
(3) Countless crimes on the news..
(4) Gorilla jumps over the wall in the Dallas Zoo.
(5) Some numbnut goes crazy for a foul ball and trust me, it is on the Texas news every night at somepoint and he did knock the kid down.
(6) Texas is the single most confusing state layout wise. I don\'t think Capcom or I have ever been so lost. Everytime we go out, it is an hour affair of trying to figure out how we got lost. Jesus, Texas has the minimialistic signs down to a perfection. There is rarely a sign saying, "now entering Grapevine, Texas", instead you go to WAL-MART and buy something, check the receipt out and realize you are in a different town.
(7) Four people drowned in Fort Worth\'s local park. Not sure how they drowned in the fountain, but it made the news lastnight , so I switched.
This state is severely screwed up, but I sort of dig it.

I will also say this is the single most religious state I have ever visited. There are countless religious music stations, countless massive churches and there are tons of old people.

I love kids, and really don\'t have a clue where you got that from. It\'s just what the guy did wasn\'t the worst thing ever, and he didn\'t "hit" the kid. You sound like the news all over again.

LIC I\'ve drove around in the North East United Sates and it is very confusing to get around also. Not because some idiots dont know how to lay the streets out right but because Im from a different area and used to a different style. Im sure it\'s the same with you. I cant see how you missed Grapevine though, theres a highway not far from DFW that leads you right there.
I also think you came to Texas at a bad time, as some really screwed up things are happening lately. But that crap happens everywhere. Texas isn\'t screwed up, America is.

I just think it is funny I have never saw a sign that says "Welcome to Grapevine".. It\'s all what you get used to and Capcom (who has done all the driving) nor I are used to this layout.

Yea, most of the big towns hardly has a sighn, for that you have to pay attention to the TXDOT sighns strewn about. I agree with you that not having a large sighn saying where you are sucks.

That ball could have beaned the kid in the head and killed him for all the Mom knew. He was 3 seats down playing hotwheels or some crap and she was reading her fliping cosmo or whatever it was. Secondly this dude is under 30 I wonder how many fowl balls have come his direction I would have jumped for the damn ball to....... This is soooo stupid and the kid made out like a freaking bandit!!!
FU ALL for thinking this guy did something wrong. He was human he went for a ball AND BARELY BRUSHED THE BRAT...
Furhtermore what the hell is a 4 year old doing at the game like Im sure he was really interested I can barely get my five year old to sit for a animated movie for an hour and half.

I\'m imagining if I was sitting at a baseball game and some redneck decided to fall into my row, hitting me and my little sister to get a foul ball I\'d be pissed. Nothing gives someone the right to muscle their way into your row like that. The fact that he pushed around a kid made it worse. Says to people going to a baseball game isn\'t for families.

BAM EXACTLY!!!! What the hell would a 4 year old know about a baseball from a Major leage game this dude that got the ball has prolly been to several games and this may have been the first ball foul towards him.... And dont tell me its about the "kids" like they are saying over there.. If its about the kids than why the f do the serve beer? Do the serve beer at the ice capads?? Then again, I guess I\'m not one to talk being from Nebraska, so, meh. Anyway, yeah, Cyrus, it\'s goona be okay. Just calm down...it\'s a foul ball. Apparently a lot of other people thought it was wrong, including his girlfriend who then walked out on him in the middle of the game. Basically, all of this kind of reminds me of all of that Elian Gonzalez crap from 5 or 6 years ago, whenever it was.

His girlfriend walked out because everyone was yelling at him she was prolly afraid. This guy is my new HERO he went after the ball and then when people started to yell at him to give the ball to the brat he said NO WAY stop and buy one at the gift shop....

I just noticed this kid is like three or something, and has no clue on what is going on. He didn\'t go after the foul ball, he was just picking his nose. Guy should have sued the mom for striking him with that piece of cardboard.

Cyrus I see where your coming from but you attack the kid as if he cares about all the attention or something. Seriously, I doubt he has a clue that this is such a big deal and would problly rather be left alone so he can play with his GI Joes. The 4yr old didnt ask for attention he just got it because some guy made himself look like an ass. And about that, I fall in category of not being mad at the guy about how he acted but having a blast making fun of the guy about how he acted.
