I need some workout music, it needs to be fast and or powerful. Basically something that gets you psyched up.
-
Techno. Preferably Crystal Method (no, not the drug, the band :) )
-
I\'ll give that a try
-
The Matrix soundtracks have some good work out music, especially the first one.
-
Give me an example of what you are looking for and then perhaps we could give you better suggestions. Crystal Meth is pretty kool but they started to drop off. Id only reccomend a select few songs. That is if you want something a bit more on the techno side rather than rock/metal or w/e....
-
I always work out to Godsmack and System of a Down.
-
Um, if you\'re lookin\' for Techno, Darude has always kicked ass. Di would agree with me :)
And yeah, System of a Down is pretty good, though some of their songs are kinda depressing. A.D.D. would be a pretty good song to work out to.
See Yuz.
-
I work out to emo stuff recently... Go figure.
Dashboard, Coheed and Cambria, Senses Fail, Bleed the Dream, Amber Pacific, and many others.
-
Wel my workout music preferance goes all over the spectrum, yesterday I was listening to Habanera from Carmen, day before it was System of a Down and Slayer, I also listen to 50 cent, Mars Volta, hell I\'ve listened to Billie Holiday while working out. Only criteria I have is that it has to not be Corporate Rock or Pop
-
Pantera or Meshuggah.
-
already rock\'n the pantera but no Meshuggah yet.
-
Circle Takes The Square. *loves that band*
-
converge - jane doe
dillinger escape plan - calculating infinity
if that aint gonna get you workd up dont know what will
-
Techno? I listen to alot of house, breaks, and rave.
Its Nice.
Get some Timo Maas. He is my favorite.
-
Anthrax.
-
my friends uncle is the drummer for anthrax. whoot.

Hey something positive. Nice...
As far as electronica, House and break beats are good. Personally though i like listening to Jungle and Drumb and Bass. Standard tempos for D&B are usually around 180 so youre always pretty pumped.
Maybe LTJ Bukem for jungle/D&B
The powers that be by the Hip Hop group Hieroglyphics is alright. IDK. You just have to look.
I know there are so many groups, bands and genres that im forgetting or leaving out but ill leave it at this for now.

If you want something upbeat and energizing, and you can stand metal, give Children of Bodom a listen.
-
Strapping Young Lad - Anything off the City or self-titled albums.
Though, it\'s too heavy for most.
-
Here ya go... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=product&id=1342649

I\'m listening to Otep right now, but so far I\'ve given every single recommendation a try, and so far I give everything a thumbs up for workout music.
-
uhhhh...... Metallica?
-
already have lots of Metallica....old metallica
-
I suggest Daft Punk...
Their ultra-gay sounding cliche-disco will fit in with a bunch of guys gettin\' all sweaty together...

Everytime I read this thread title, that "i" in recommendations just drives me nuts.
-
me too, I tried to change it, but I was too late.
-
Anyone heard that new Switchfoot song?
-
I Dare You To Move?
For some reason it sounds like the Soundtrack to a TV show, is it?
-
I Dare You to Move is actually a single on the movie, "A walk to remember"
Switchfoot - Meant To Live
Thats more of a rock song.
And they get 2 bonus points for being a Christian band.
-
*shoots self for ever listening to it
*edit
god damnit, on my jukebox it even labels it as gospel. Damnit
-
Meant to Live has a badass riff, i had that song stuck in my head for the whole day.

Give me a break. If you\'re that shallow you\'re missing out on a lot of good music.
-
Finch may work for you.
As far as techno/dance/breakbeat: BT, Freestylers...
-

Im agnostic, and hate it when people mix religion with things, especially music.

I hear some songs from these three at the gym all the time, although the same gym plays Mandy Moore. "Candy" is quite catchy...*runs away*
-
Listening to Circle Takes The Square, pretty hard shit as was Strapping Young Lads. Not what I\'d listen to for enjoyment, but will work well in the gym....as long as I don\'t kill anyone.
-
here\'s a little blast from my past, but...
jesus built my hotrod-ministry
anything off of "a mind is a terrible thing to taste" -ministry

How about some: In Flames, DevilDriver, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall or some older Killswitch Engage. All of these bands have some good pump up music, although In Flames is a lot more mellow....

Trust me, when you hear the crazy ass piano in the background of the Gerald the mouse verse, you\'ll be pumped. But you\'re only to listen to it when you\'re on the exercise bike.
