I hope they hunt those bitches down and run them over with tanks.

Doing something like that is beyond barbaric.

Is it true they have more hostages (I have heard 10, among them one European journalist and a few American workers.)?

This really is sad. My heart sank when I read that when I logged onto Netscape. I hope we get these guys.

I found Jenna from Survivor\'s sex tape yesterday no sweat.  Couldn\'t find the video of this guy begging for his life.

I guess it\'s good that I didn\'t find it though.  Makes it a lot easier to deal with.

Very sad but not unexpected. I saw the clip of him pleading for his life on the news yesterday. Let\'s hope those involved are brought swiftly to justice.

Now i know we arent the most innocent people in the world (the US that is), but this is just going too far. What is our status on handing over rule and my guess is that we will keep troops there for a little while more.

With every hostage i find myself more and more drawn to the gun ho all american mentality of "kill those filthy bastards." I understand that this is a powerful way of getting back at us w/o a large number of casualties from regular combat but if this is the only way then thats sad.

It really just makes me think, "lets take 20 innocent iraqi suppliers and send them a tape of 20 beheadings. That way perhaps they will be tempted to use and reveal those WMD\'s so we can bomb the hell out of those assholes." Of course i do not believe this seriously but when things like this happen repeatedly, sometimes you just cant help but get sad/pissed.

I can\'t help but think what went through his mind as they abducted him. When that first guy was beheaded, he didn\'t know what was going to happen, but with the 2 previous decapitations, this South Korean guy must have known what was coming.

When he was pleading for his life, he surely realised he wasn\'t getting out of there alive or in 1 piece.

The same goes for any that are abducted in future, they have got to start thinking that they are gonners as soon as the car door shuts on them, I mean come on, no govenment is going to withdraw troops because of hostage situations.

You wouldn\'t get me to go to Iraq for all the money in the world.

Call me crazy, but someone arm me and give me some dog tags, because I feel like shooting up some Iraqi terrorists.

I just feel so helpless back here at home.  Maybe it\'s just me, but I feel like I should be helping this situation somehow.  It\'s not right and it hurts to see honestly.

You\'re not crazy. I\'ve felt that way since 9/11. I feel like "give me an M-16 and get me over there". You could always enlist and volunteer to go over there.

I tried that and my mom started to cry at the kitchen table when I was filling out the forms.  So I\'m headed for Michigan State U in the fall instead.

^ Why would you guys want to go over there and cause mayhem or even \'retalliate\',.... for what !? Yes, I know this some really bad shit that has happened, but imho this case is best handled by the Koreans themselves.  If S-Korea wants US government to help them with this matter, i\'m sure they\'ll call out for it. No need for US citizens and military to act as self proclaimed \'police of the world\'.

Unfortunately we are thought of as "the police of the world" because we are the #1 superpower and feel obligated to keep "peace" in this world.

Well I was more or less referring towards the 2 American beheadings.  Not to say that this Korean one isn\'t any better.  Having a feeling of hopelessness is one of the worst things an American can experience.... right guys :bounce:

This "police of the world" thing is kind of a mixed bag too.  Half of the countries plead for US support when things go wrong, and half don\'t.  We end up trying to help them all and screw ourselves.  If it were up to me.....live and let be.  Nukes scare me like they do the next guy, but you all have to be viewing this from another countries stand point.  We have nukes like no other and that\'s ok as long as your country doesn\'t?  Bad logic on our part but hey, we only trust ourselves afterall.

Also, with as little countries as possible with nukes, the less likely for a nuclear war. It\'s also good that the super powers like the US, China and Russia have them so it will kind of keep the world in balance, like saying "don\'t launch at us or we will annahilate you". The only problem is that these countries sell nuclear weapons, which is bad. Its good though that we are trying to cut down on them and I\'m in full support of that. Just keep like 5 per country.

This is a good thing maybe if these idiots would start choping off some frenchies heads they would realize how seriouse this is and do something to help us out and now they just pissed off south korea so do you think that means they are gonna send less troops in the future or more?

i\'d say they\'ii probably send less troops since sending troops over in the first place was not popular...i gotta disagree with you about the french cy..why all this animosity towards the french?..because they didn\'t agree to send help?...because they didn\'t agree with the u.s.? that\'s why were hated even by our allies (france china russia)..because of the arrogance of the u.s.

you cannot force democracy or values on a country by force...how can the u.s. say this when even they have allies in the arab world that do not have a democratic gov\'t? but yet have issues with arab countries that do have a democratic gov\'t but just don\'t agree with u.s. foreign policies?...

this beheading of the s.korean is awful..but i don\'t think it\'s iraqi insurgents..i think it\'s more likely outside terrorists doin this...and the u.s. didn;t prepare properly for it...the handover of power is not going to stop these attacks..the u.s. is going to be there for as long as it takes..unfortunately so are the terrorists...

Clips, that\'s why Al-Quada beheaded the korean. Or maybe I\'m thinking of another beheading.

also,...can this war on terror really be won? i truly wish it could but let me give you some numbers,..i was watchng cnn and this cat was talkin about how many terrorists are in the the muslim world, he stated that 1% of muslims are terrorists..that amounts to 10 million !

i\'d like the war on terror to be won,..but to be honest those are some huge numbers & the u.s. should\'ve concentrated on afganastan (spell) which i supported 110%..this side quest & personal vendetta in iraq has made the u.s. lose track,...now all of our forces are bein concentrated in iraq..add to the fact that now you\'re fighting al quada in iraq AND in afganastan..

the u.s. are reaping what they sew...they are feeling the effects of their arrogance by alienating allies & not listening to reason..bush specifically told china, russia & france & germany that they would have no access economically to iraq once the dust settles,..but it never did & a few weeks after the the u.s. toppled iraq, bush went right back to the u.n...for military help...now he\'s trying to talk to france, china & russia about why they should help since they have a vested interest in iraq!...pathetic...

i heard on the news that the cat responsible for beheading that american in saudi arabia is already bein replaced...for every one you kill there\'s another waiting in the wings..all i\'m sayin is that the u.s. needs to choose their battles more wisely....
