Title: Overclocking Ram
Post by: THX on June 28, 2004, 01:13:43 AM
It was easy enough to oc the CPU, but I hear people saying they\'re running their ram at 3-4-4-3 (for example), not sure what each number means.

My mobo handles an 800mhz fsb, but my cpu (p2.4) is only 533mhz.  Ram is also pc2700 which matches the CPU.  I used Asus\'s Smart AI overclocking setting in the bios and set it to 20%.. does that automatically overclock the ram as well as the CPU?

Thanks for any help.

memory timings and overclocking ram are 2 different things, but they go hand in hand.

Guide that may help you
