Yep, the show starts in a few hours, they better play a whole lot of the old stuff.
Slipknot couldn\'t make it though which sucks they\'ve been warming up for most of Metallica\'s shows, but I get to see two damned good Icelandic bands instead, Brain Police and Minus.
Anyhoo, just thought I\'d post before I go.
-
That\'s pimp nO-One you\'re gonna have to post on how it went today. I hope they play the Unforgiven for ya....
-
tell them dave mustaine wants his spot back
-
cool, hope you enjoy it, minus are cool too.
-
Enjoy!

seen them twice this year.... all mostly old stuff!!!!!!
The second time I saw them i was on the floor in the front right up against the rail... i got many bruised ribs but it was the best night of my life.
-
be sure to bring & make use of your portable MP3 recorder :p
Aren\'t those tickets somewhere around the $85 USD mark??
-
well just got back, 03:07am.
The show kicked ****ing ass, nice feeling when I was standing within 2 meters of Kirk Hammet.
Anyhoo, I\'ll post more tomorrow, gotta go to work in 4 hours :(
-
Awesome stuff. I hear they\'re playing most of their old stuff. I missed their shows down under, but I heard they\'ve been great.
Thankfully, I hear they haven\'t been playing much off of their new(er) album(s).
-
Yea, Summer Sanitarium was two songs from St. Anger and another 10-12 from the old albums.

Nah you wish you were me because I saw Yellowcard and Story of the Year; back to back at the Warped Tour.
-
Sorry Swidi, but that doesnt even compare to Metallica. Those people would say the same. Metallica is one of the bands everyone will remember like the Beatles, Nirvana, and Rolling Stones.
-
Pffft... Let square marker speak for himself. He is a Yellowcard whore.
-
I like Yellowcard, too but Metallica is and always will be better than all the bands at Warped tour

Well of the bands you\'ve mentioned I\'ve seen Metallica and the Stones, but the chances of seeing the other two are slim to none at the moment :p
Anyhoo, they thankfully only played two songs of St. Anger Frantic and St Anger. They started the show off with Blackened and went on to playing stuff like Sanitarium, Harvester of Sorrow, Sad but True, and basically all their best stuff.
They obviously enjoyed themselves, James kept thanking the crowd and Kirk and Rob also took time out to thank the people, Lars also jumped up and talked about that it was a crowd like this that made them want to make music and promised to come back next year, so let\'s hope.
While Nothing Else Matters was played everybody, and I mean everybody sang along and thousands of lighters were lit, after the song James said it was an amazing sight to see.
After the show was over the guys went off stage but Kirk stayed behing and played around with the crowd, then James came back and started playing with the drumset, then he picked up his guitar and started playing it too, then he went up to the mic and said they had to do a few more songs, started playing Battery again then went ended the show with Seek and Destroy.
It was nice to see that they enjoyed themselves, I\'ve seen their live performances and they usually do that "Are you guys still here, well then we\'ll have to play more" but this time they really seemed like playing for the crowd.
Anyhoo, I for the most part acted like an idiot in the mosh pits, think I broke some kids nose, but he didn\'t seem to mind :p
And it was a nice feeling when I was standing within two meters from Kirk Hammet, never thought I\'d get that close to the stage, I got within about 5-6m from James and Rob, Lars of course was behind his drumset.
Anyhoo, I barely slept last night and I spent the last 10 hours working, I think I\'m gonna take a nap....or take a bath to wash the gallons of dried sweat of me, then take a nap.

sounds very sweet, i saw them once, they was amazing
-
I was at their concert June 21st in Amsterdam. Like you described, they had alot of fun playing. Slipknot was still
in there then. Maybe they were missing now becuz they did
replacement concerts for David Bowie\'s canceled concert
-
Napster BAD.................
Their old s@#t was good. Their newer stuff not so good.

Slipknot had a show in Germany and that\'s why they cancelled Iceland, it\'s better for them to be the main band then the warm up, unfortunetly for them they were boo\'d off the stage on one of their German shows.
Serves them right for cancelling the land of fire and ice.
