Democratic state Assemblyman Mervyn Dymally, who had scheduled a protest by civil rights organizations, canceled the demonstration after an apparent mix-up over the girl\'s racial background.
Dymally was quoted in the San Jose Mercury News Thursday saying the child was "a little African-American girl. Would he (Riordan) have done that to a white girl?"
The girl is white, with blonde hair.
BWAHAHAHAHA!

You missed the best part.
"Race is not a factor in this issue," Dymally said in Thursday\'s statement, adding that Riordan had apologized a second time. "It is time for us to move on."

EXACTLY - do you think they would have "moved on" if the girl was black?

Well... we did force millions of black people to use crack so they became hopelessly addicted and then we could arrest them and put them in jail... I actually know someone who believes that. I love the "victim mentality" that assemblyman had...probably the only reason he was elected to anything...

Richard Riordan is an overwhelming jagoff. Just like most idiotic state-level political appointments, he is utterly unqualified to serve as the Secretary of Education in this state. He only got the job because Arnold needed to appease the California Republican party. I hope Riordan gets fired and ends up running a dry-cleaning store in Ventura.
BTW, NAACP = National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, therefore it makes a little sense for them to drop the protest. However, I agree they never should have made a statement like "Would he have done that to a white girl?"
