I NEED THAT MOVIE
-
Just finish downloading it, it only play sound, no movie! It took me a long time to download this!!! it need some sort of codec for it to play the video...
-
Sephiroth looks like such a cross-dresser...
I\'m getting really excited for this movie. My favorite clip so far showed Tifa fighting in the church(in Midgar) against one of the Turks.
-
pretty cool clip. Might have to check this out.
-
Paul2: you need Xvid (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Koepi_XviD.htm)
As for the movie, the other FF looks a lot better. ;) Guess you have to be a fan of the series to like this one.
-
What other FF?Are you talking about Spirits Within?
-
thanks thx,
but i already figure it out by doing a search engine on Xvid...
but thanks for telling me anyway.
Uni"cron",
i think thx meant the original cg from the videogame FFVII.
I too prefer the somewhat cartoonish and more fantasy like CG from FFVII. The only think about FFVII CG that kinda suck is some CG have horses hand and "poppy" look a like neck and stuff. Another problem is the low 320 x 240 resolution and 15 frames per second slow MPEG-1 Video.
If Squaresoft ever remake FFVII, i heard they are planning on remaking them on ps2, if not ps3. Hopefully they stick to their original CG minus the "horses hands and stuff".
-
Oh.I personally liked this one more.
I also like this visual style.Characters look cooler IMO.I dont think facial expressions would have looked as impressive if they retained the original visual style from the CGI movies of the game.We usually dont give much attention to the CGI movies to feel the characters of a game since we feel the characters through their adventures in and through controlling them. There was no need of dialoques either.
When it comes to movies though we feel the characters through their acting. And this visual style helps to make the acting and expressions of the characters more convincing.
-
to each their own, we have different tastes.
I just don\'t like the hairstyle on the new CG. some of the character doesn\'t look like what i had in mine.
-
hehe. You mean you imagined something like the anime looking hairstyle from the game?
-
I have not liked an FF game since ff7. I heard FFX was good but have never got around to playing it.
All the other FF\'s I did not like at all.
So if they do remake it. It will be a must on my list.
-
I hope its a remake on PS3

Ditto. Not to mention it would give the ps3 a large boost in attention if they advertised it right. That and didnt seem like they were going to f* up the game. Id much rather wait to see FFVII in all its next gen glory. I dont think they would try and rush something like this into the ps2\'s life span.
Or at least i hope not.
-
Yeah, I think they dont have the power to awe us with graphics anymore this gen.
I would pay $200 to play FFVII with graphics like the movie.

Why? You\'re experience will be exactly the same..
Although I must admit that if the music was updated to fully orchestral I\'d be very interested in the updated version. $200 is a bit excessive, though. ;)
-
The graphics would draw people in even more. Imagine FFVII people without square hands.
-
^^^
its just in the field area where the characters have horse hands like the cloud pic on the left. ingame battle, the graphic was great in my opinion, no horse hands. Yah!
Now if they could draw all the fingers on ffVII for ps3. That would be a blast...or xbox2 maybe?
thinking about it, you guys are right if there is a remake on ffvii and if done right, imagine how much it will help to boost the sale for next generation console, ps3? or it\'s xbox2?

Oh no no no.It will be a bliss.I love good combination of visuals and music.Aesthetics and superb gameplay....You get to feel the characters and worlds more....Imagine watching at characters like the ones seen in the trailer, with such convincing expressions and movement.
Ofcourse thats just wishful thinking,

Yet you\'d still be walking between areas in Midgar, walking up to the exact same people, getting the same; "This guy are sick." response. And given that we\'ve all played the game a hundred times before, it will hardly make the experience more immersive, rather.. better to look at.
If they remade it, they\'d have to remake it right. Take some notes from Capcom, perhaps. Fully polygonal characters (textured this time :p), how about fully polygonal backgrounds? But why stop there, lets remove the load times between areas. Hell, maybe even remove the world map, and create one massive immersive world. Create MORE to the cities. Midgar was supposed to be huge, yet you really only get a glimpse of that in the game. Give us more people, more believable people. Fuck, I still want to see that damn Loveless play! If Aeris was supposed to come back to life, they should add in the extra ending(s) and storyline adjustments. Fully orchestral music, Dolby 6.1. More, and more indepth mini-games, more sidequests. A bonus online Sims like mode where you create a house in the world and get to live there (pre-FF7 of course). FARMS! There were no ****ing FARMS in the God damned game. HOW DID EVERYBODY EAT!?![/u] And I want to be able to walk through the ****ing door in that guys house in Mideel. A mini-prequal game based around The Great War set initially in Wutai and blossoming out to the rest of the world which reveals subtle details about the Jenova experiments, and Vincent, etc. A post game episode where you got to explore the now semi-destroyed world and try to rebuild it, or just live there in an Animal crossing style. LET YOUR CHARACTERS GO TO THE TOILET THEY MUST BE BUSTING, and what about the occasional haircut, and clothing changes (Imagine the stains on their underwear!). Now that would be a more immersive experience.
-
^^^If only.
-
wow, talks about a hardcore fan, bobs_hardware just surprised me there. and I thought I really love ff7 and knows it well. guess i was wrong...

Ofcourse. But I wasnt refering to gameplay but to aesthetics.
Ofcourse I would agree that graphics arent enough and your second paragraph is a good idea of what they should add.If we ommit a few exaggerations that is :p

But adding voices would make it more immersive. That was the best thing of FFX, it made the characters more real, and not just a bunch of polygons.

And this is a Bad thing ?

Spehiroth looked effeminate in FF7 anyways. Its a manga/anime thingie and usually with the bad guys

Yeah, i know what youve been doing recently.
Reminds me off that ebay auction with the guy selling his wife\'s wedding dress.;)
and about a ffvii remake: Not everything would be the same. Any person working on the project would have to be retarded to copy exactly what they did before and think that it was something really significant.
Id probably still buy it though.

Pfft, I have an imagination, and I can picture what they sound like. And it probably sounds a lot better in my head than by some cheap hack wannabe actor. Did you even play Kingdom Hearts? While all the voices were surprisingly fine (I didn\'t actually hear Sephiroth, though) they weren\'t what I invisioned in my head, and thus was a bit of a let down.
-
He doesnt share any dialoque in Kingdom Hearts from what I ve seen.He only sais a few words while in platinum match.I dont know if there is some extra scene becuase I downloaded a small clip a year ago showing him and Cloud battling.Although I beat him there was no such scene.Probably its only featured in the Inrernational version.
