The traditionally thin CRT\'s get slimmer and still remains cheaper than LCD and Plasma TVs.

I\'m with CRT till these devices become cheaper and better quality.

All technologies minus LCD will still have their place in the future imo. CRT still produces the best blacks while digital has perfect geometry, no burn in, and has no problem displaying orange, unlike CRT.
Ghosting is a problem on both, though the latest DLPs are closing the gap.

Haven\'t read the story yet, but are these the tvs where there are several tubes each doing a certain portion of the screen thereby making it a shorter throw? They\'ve been talking about those for years.

doesn\'t look like what I was tlaking about earlier. Still cool though. Anything to get more people into Hi Def is always good.
