Watched the trailer...read the background....

But i still don\'t know what to make of it... was a little upset that they did go with the DARK HORSE comic concept of a full scale battle on a human colony.
And still a little bit worried that it could turn out to be another Alien 4...
/me shudders.
suppose I just have to pay my £5 and go and see it for myself.
But what do you guys think...
will it be good or will it suck the big one ?
This one has been on the cards since Aliens was released.

They needed to get the director that did Aliens 2 (forget his name) to do this. But, too late now. I\'ll have to pay my 9 bucks to see this movie. Either way, I can\'t wait to see it.

Now I remember. His name just slipped my mind. They should have asked him to do Alien vs. Predator.

Lord know\'s he isn\'t doin\' anything else as of late.
Better yet, they should of never bothered making this and went ahead and made a decent Predator sequel, as we all know \'Predator 2\' sucked my salty nuts.

My sentiments exactly. I love every single alien movie and predator was alright but not as good. Still, this is a must see.
I think it would have been better to integrate the idevidual sci-fi stories rather than this new plot. Is it supposed to be in antarctica or something? That sounds kinda weak but hopefully it will be good.
Should have brought the marines back.

Agree totally with you there. I liked all the Aliens movies but I think they should never have done Alien Resurrection. Alien 3 wasn\'t the greatest, but I liked it and thought it should have ended there.

Eh, i even liked res. Its hard to explain really but i liked it. A lot of people thought the whole Hybrid human/alien was gay too. I think it added an extra element but i can understand where people come from on the subject.
I hate this new catch phrase "whoever wins... we lose." They make it seem like humanity loses instead of just these punks in a cave. Im telling you. They need to bring the marines back.

The Alien series should have followed the storylines from the comic books.
An alien invasion of earth a few years after Aliens (not Aliens 2..) with Newt all grown up, and Hicks a washed up alcoholic (I believe).
3 wasn\'t bad, and Res had it\'s moments (namely the sensational ass shot during a massage towards the start of the movie - and Sigourney Weaver was exceptional, as per usual) but it tried to be too smart, and it backfired.
And I hardly think that the human reproductive system made the Xenomorphs the \'perfect\' species. If anything, it hindered them. The queen was totally incapacitated by her pregnancy with but ONE baby. As opposed to laying hundreds to thousands of eggs which hatch separately then go off and find their host, leaving the queen to lay more eggs or detach it\'self and go off on it\'s own for a bit of fun. And HOW did it get pregnant? I don\'t think they explained it. Plus the alien/human hybrid looked plain stupid. And many of the scenes ripped off the first 2 movies so hard it made my nose bleed (along with every other orifice).
I would personally love to see HOW the derelict spaceship from the first movie came to be. The xenomorphs don\'t quite seem capable of making such a ship. Perhaps another race from the same planet of the xenomorphs sent it away to rid themselves of the aliens, or perhaps to start a fullscale invasion of earth, etc. etc. endless possibilities.
It should be cool to see a little spin-off battle, a la Freddy vs. Jason, only much... MUCH cooler (sorry LICky ;)). No matter how bad the movie, I\'ll see it for the Aliens. :)

I think what it was was a different species than the egg laying aliens. If I remember correctly, the team found another alien with a hole in its chest and they commented about it.

Hmm.. I did see it quite recently (when it was re-released at the cinemas) but I ccan\'t quite remember. When they first enter the ship there\'s a skeleton, yes? That must have been the other species.

Yup. Something like that. And there was a hole through its rib cage.
