There\'s more Final Fantasy VII in store for the masses in the future, according to the latest issue of Japan\'s V Jump Magazine. The monthly comic magazine reveals that outside of the Final Fantasy Advent Children DVD and Final Fantasy Before Crisis wireless game, Square Enix has plans for a huge title as part of its "Final Fantasy VII" project. The magazine goes on to state that "that character" will appear in the game, with what appears to be the shadow of Vincent in the background (Vincent was one of the lesser main characters in Final Fantasy VII).
This marks the first time that solid hints have appeared on further Final Fantasy VII titles from a major source. Previously, Square Enix posted advertisements on trains in Japan suggesting that more Final Fantasy VII could be in the works (for a look at that ad, see this IGN Wireless article).
We hope to hear more from Square Enix on the matter as the upcoming Final Fantasy VII titles near Japanese release later this year.

Why would they choose vincent, really.
-
Perhaps a prequel?Vincent\'s story with Beatrix(wasnt she the real mother of Sephiroth?) and Hojo or proffesor Ghast?
I wonder too
edit:That means we might even see Sephiroth before he got lost in the life stream
-
I believe Sephiroth\'s mother name begin with a L...I could be wrong, but I don\'t think her name is beatrix...
-
Lucretia.
Beatrix was from FFIX.
Twits. :)
What\'s the bet it\'s an action game ala Devil May Cry?
I really hope SquareEnix doesn\'t **** all this up. FFVII is a lot to live up to, and left a lot of mystery and unexplained ambiguity (intentionally I believe) and all these games could disappoint a lot of people.
Then again, I\'ll never miss out on the chance to go exploring through the world again. :)
-
Yeah, its Lucrecia...

yup yup.
That whole story would be interesting to follow up on. A perfect reason to choose vincent
-
Seems I need to play the game again.I am starting to forget names
-
Dammit..
I spelled it on screen about 5 times, alternating between Lucretia and Lucrecia.. and I chose the wrong one it would appear.
-
don\'t be hard on yourself, it was you who remember her name, and i vaguely remember the name begins with the letter "L".
-
Thanks.
And Vincent was always one of the better characters to aim a spin-off at, especially due to his connection with the Turks, who were (and are) another great candidate for a spin-off game.
I still believe the best idea for a spin-off/sequal/prequal would be set in the Great War in Wutai/Shinras rise to power/Jenova being uncovered, etc. etc. It could tie into FFVII very easily, with very little risk of upsetting the storyline from the sequal.
-
hmmm..assuming everybody played ff7, but in case some didn\'t....SPOILER ALERT!...ok at the end of ff7...what exactly happened? i rememder tifa\'s titay\'s boucin\' all over the place then a huge meteor crashing into the planet....what happened after that?
-
The ultimate white magic started weaving it\'s way through the world, gathering largely over Midgar (which would have been Meteor\'s impact site). Destruction ensues.
White magic was supposed to destroy everything that was bad for the planet, and there was a discussion over whether or not humans were bad for the planet. Now, after the credits, you see a "500 Years Later" with Nanaki (Red XIII) and his children (who did he mate with? I\'m guessing that because the whole game was about cloning, etc. that he had some help from humans which is the first hint that humans are still alive) roaming the hills above a destroyed Midgar. Then after the credits play and the "Final Fantasy VII" symbol is shown you hear a small sound byte which has a few sounds, one of which being that of children laughing. Hint # 2.
-
thanks for clearin\' that up bro..i honestly forgotten how ff7 ended..i wonder if advent children takes place after this event? probably not since you just stated something about it fast fowarding 500 yrs later..
-
But that was just a look into the future. It doesn\'t necessarily mean that the movie can\'t be set immediately following the events of FFVII.
It just means that if Nanaki appears in the movie, you know he won\'t die. :)... and might have children!
