This place is hanging on a limb to be honest... Its getting harder and harder to post in even OT... Not having a main page is destroying these forums...

I did notice it.  Yesterday was close to 200,000 posts, I was about to post a topic  about it but I forgot about it...

PSX2 Central\'s traffic rank on Alexa.com is over 700,000.  Most gaming fan sites that succeed fairly well are around 200-300 thousand.  Yea, it\'s looking a little grim but their are many loyal members.

All I can say is the lower the better, Im not sure what classfies as a terrible ranking.      But PSX2central used to be the hotest PS2 fansite around, along with PS2web which is long gone.  I know PSX2central had to be atleast as low as 100,000 at that time, especially if they were sending people to E3.  I do recall mm mentioning PSX3central being under works though.  Thing is the site should be well up by now as several ps3 fan sites are already up and running.  The most popular being ps3insider and ps3portal.

I like it the way it is.  I check about 3 times a day on average just to see what\'s new and depending on how far I spread the time between visits, it\'s anywhere between 14 and 24 threads with all new posts.  So over a 24-hour period, there\'s at least 50 threads with new posts.

Not bad at all for the daily visitor.  I hate forums where it\'s impossible to keep up with everything happening\\being said.

thanks for clearing that up bro...yea when i used to lurk i remember when they used to have reviews & everything...c\'mon bjorn get that new site crackin\'...

*the thanks was to psj...& yea i agree with you ryu,..i guess it\'s not good the way it is? i mean i would think having over 4000 members & over 400,000 posts would mean some type of staying power...

The old site (or whatever you want to call it) to me was the most professional appearing fansite at the time.  And this was before every teenager on the block began to start their own.  My question is, where the hell is Bjorn?  I mostly lurk, so maybe someone can tell me.

In my opinion the new site attracted people initially, but the forums would keep people coming. Once I found the forums, I never checked the main site again.

I used to be on PS2web.

I saw Bjorn lurking around today in the current events section.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, hes there right now.

The thing is I alternately post here and at offtopic.com

This place is kind of like a small bar, where you know everybody... Then OT is like a big club where you recognize a few people, but you really don\'t know whats going on.

Sorry, its 1:10 a.m.

I post in OT every once and a while, but it\'s such a ridiculously large forum that you get lost in it real easy.  And forget about typing in a thread at work and expecting to find it at home.  It\'s like on page 12.

I wish this site had more traffic.  If we had about 20 more solid members I think it would be great.

I have a few friends that are lurkers and never post.  I have been harassing them to register and participate.  They say they do enjoy the topics in OT and CE.

I wish Bjorn and fastson would bash my viewpoints in CE though - I miss the Euro views (with the exception of the green weenie ooseven) in there. ;)

No way of knowing unless someone saw it.  At least I don\'t think there is a way.

BTW, this place rules. Just sleepy enough for peeps like me who get to check in a couple times a day....

I\'m here, daily, just lurking around and laughing :D

I\'m not gonna do a new site, at least not for the moment. I\'m moving to the Netherlands this Friday. Gonna do my master\'s thesis there, so I will be busy as hell.

Aaron was supposed to start a new multi-console site. But it is standing still and I haven\'t heard from him for quite a while. I guess he has lots of stuff to do with work etc.

This forum will stay as long as here are people coming. And I might do some new stuff later on, but not in the coming 5-9 months.

GigaShadow: don\'t worry, I\'ll be bashing you soon, you are posting so much crap in CE that I can\'t hold in anymore ;)

i remember when I first came to this site around 2001 I guess.. right before ps2 came out.. There was the huge PS2 countdown thread, it got to like 50 sumthing pages if i remember correctly.. probably more. I like coming here b/c there are enough new topics and people to keep everything fresh yet you still can meet people and actually discover who they are rather than just reading their posts; which is what you would do in a forum with thousands of members..
