I\'ll tell you how it performs on my machine. Hopefully it\'ll work good.
And I have been offered a job as a pc technician for http://www.modtech.com.au for 400pw + 0.8% of total business profits for all stores.
I donno, but that sounds pretty friggin good to me. :)

OK, Well it runs perfectly fine at 800x600 on medium. Time for me to update my gfx card. :)

0.8% of total business profits

I hate most software sides of pcs, I prefer hardware, that’s why I’m doing the A+ cert to get a little more cash, 1 test left to go and the gov is paying for it.. woo and while working I’ll be doing my diploma in electronics engineering open schooling. Then most likely full time the 2nd year.
As for the wood chips, it varies depending on sales.. If they sell, fix whatever around 30000 bucks for all stores I’d get .8% of that which is 240 on top, 60000 for all stores is another 480. It just depends on sales.. I\'ll trail it for awhile and get a average. If it’s bogus I’ll just leave.
This job is just to get me back on my feet and pay for schoolin.. ohh and update my pc ;)
and they indeed offer all certs that you yanks get. my brother a s@#t load of them.. but it\'s just not what i\'m interested in.
-
I got it. I\'m still tweaking it, but once rooms fully load on my 9800P-256, it runs fine at 10x7-HQ.

I\'m in the same boat as you. All my colleges are like mm, telling me to get my ccna, msce etc.. Problem is the software side bores me to death, regardless how much it can potentially pay. Plus over here in AMERICA our number one trade is exporting our jobs to places like INDIA(very big on the computer side) I know allot of people on the software side losing there job to some tart over in India who will work twice as hard for 1/8 of the pay.
Anyhow hardware is fun to work with, I have always been a Hands on guy. Glad to see Souldgrind that you are working your way up, hope you find your niche in this complicated industry.

if you want a job in computers and keep it you will need an mcse and ccna its the nature of the beast
everyone uses windows and anyone one who is smart uses cisco firewalls and routers

I\'m a software guy:)

So far from true, if you choose a Software path i totaly agree. But i don\'t need MCSE, CISCO, NET+ etc etc or any of other similar certs to be a Computer Hardware Engineer / Electronics Engineer, which i\'ll be studying for.

I have doom 3 and it runs superb on my machine. I even have some links to some tweaks if yall interested.

no thats wrong
i dont want to have anything to do with software but i also want to make lots of money and be invalueable to my company so im getting everything i can cause i dont want to limit myself
-
Each to their own opinion,
Do u know how many types of jobs an electronics engineer can do?
I hardly doubt I’ll be limiting myself. I don\'t need all the little computer based certs for it or getting a job in it. That’s what the advanced diploma and degrees are for.
If you end up working for a company doing hardware based crap, guess what. You\'ll be doing hardware based crap. If you don\'t like software and end up being moved to software based section, you\'d probably either quit or be very unhappy. I\'ll pass thanks, i prefer hardware and i\'ll focus just on that.

More than we can list here, the job title allows one to be extremely versatile, I would know, My dad has been one for that last 45 years, and always has had more work/job offers then he can handle. A good, steady career to get into, that is if you enjoy doing it.

<<< Hardware guy
I thought we were talking about DOOM?
:nopics:
Really though, its just a sexy game. I probably wont buy it though. Wouldnt even consider the xbox version so...
