Title: This may be a dumb question but....
Post by: guar on August 26, 2004, 08:24:33 AM
Does anyone know if it hurts a laptop battery to keep the laptop plugged in for periods of time? I mean after the battery is fully charged should I unplug the power and let the battery discharge some. I have heard different stories about this so I thought I would ask the experts

ive thought about this but then i thought that maybe the current doesnt flow straught through the battery once its finshed charging - maybe it takes a differnet route or somehting - although i dropped physics after 2nd year so dont listen to me :)

I heard this sort of thing happening to cell phones. It seems to be true as far as ive seen but maybe the battery life just natually deteriorates. Not 100% sure.
