Title: Keeping HDs Cool
Post by: THX on August 29, 2004, 03:55:04 AM
I\'ve been paranerd lately after that Maxtor crashed so I finally got off my butt and did something I\'ve been thinking about.  I made a little custom HD holder (cage?) with enough space in between to allow air from a 92mm fan to flow through.  Here are some pics:

Here\'s a pic (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/donaldbl/kungfu52/htpics/dynamat.jpg) of some extra Dynamat I had from a car audio install to help quiet things down.

So what do you think; too overcautious or a good idea?
