(Marietta, Georgia-AP) Aug. 30, 2004 - A Marietta man accused of decapitating a passenger in his truck made a first court appearance on Monday in court in Cobb County.
Police say 21-year-old John Kemper Hutcherson was drunk when he drove off the road and hit the support wire of a telephone pole, decapitating his friend, Francis Daniel Brohm.
Investigators say Hutcherson then continued to drive 12 miles home and slept in his blood-spattered clothes, leaving the headless body in his truck overnight.
A neighbor out on a stroll with his baby daughter around 8:00am Sunday discovered Brohm\'s body inside the parked truck and called police. Hutcherson is been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
Police say the two men, who were friends since high school, were hanging out at a bar Saturday night and left after Brohm said he felt sick. The crash happened about a mile and a half from the bar.
Officers later found Brohm\'s severed head at the crash site. He apparently had been leaning out the window when Hutcherson hit the wire.
One police spokesman say it\'s hard to imagine driving all that way without realizing what happened to the person next to you.

Damn. The driver should get what\'s coming to him. Drunk drivers are like #1 on people that piss me off.

damn i\'m tryin to decide if this is worse than that chick who drove home with that guy in her windshield..either way this cat needs his ass whooped! how the heck are you gonna drive home with a decapitated body in your truck? i don\'t care how drunk i would\'ve been, i would\'ve noticed that. the impact of the crash alone....naw this cat just didn\'t give a s**t...
s**t how hard is it to just sit in your whip and sleep it off if you\'re too drunk to drive? or at least get some water to detox yourself...sheeit there was a couple of times were i would be comin\' home from the club and i\'d just have to sit in the car with some bottled water with the heat on (in the wintertime) and i\'d just fall asleep...that was foolish of me tho..pretty dangerous to be doin s**t like that..i could\'ve gotten jacked, robbed who knows what else...
bottomline is just don\'t drink and drive...

i thought barb wire and the such can only decapitated a person head in movies...
but do they really can cut off a person is head in real life?:sad:

People get decapitated all the time...
This isn\'t as bad as the lady with the guy in her car windshield, because the guy got decapitated, and wasn\'t suffering all night long, in horrible pain. The thought of it is definitely worse though :(

Yes it is, if you are going fast enough. The guy lost his head on support wire, not barbed wire. But both you can lose a body part on.

Well, the dude was drunk so he was probably going really fast and the rate the guy hit the wire would have severed his head off. But at any speed he was going would have been deadly, whether it crushed his neck going slow or severed going fast, this guy would still have died.

most likely it wasn\'t a clean cut. More like RIPPED his head off, probably caught his neck and his head got pinned between the trucks door frame and wire...
Would have been quick though.
