Title: Symantec Packager
Post by: Richard on September 08, 2004, 01:39:41 PM
I have created a custom installation of Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.51 using Symantec Packager.

I want the installation to run silently in the background, which it does with the exception of a dialog box that appears stating the compatibility issue with Windows XP. I resolved the issue by replacing the symevent file, the installation is flawless and is completely silent after “Continue” is selected on the dialog box. How do I suppress this dialog box so that the installation is completely silent?

FYI: I have read the “How to launch the Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition 7.5 setup in silent mode” in the Symantec knowledge base – tried using the switches – but the compatibility dialog still appears.

I have also searched Google for hours looking for the answer.

Thank you for your time and support.

Does 7.51 have a push install? If it does that would be the easiest way to get it out.

Throw your computer out the window.. Fixes every problem I\'ve ever had.

Not run 7.5 for over a year I think. Went to 8.1 when we started buying xp machines. Sorry can\'t help you more.

Besides I am a big fan of pushing installs in off hours in groups.
