This thread is to remember what happened and never forget.

forget what?
-
Still is eerie to read about it. I definitely won\'t ever forget it.
-
I read through that the past two years and still is depressing.
-
And since then we\'ve had a whole lot happen.
I find it strange though that the murder of innocent school children in Russia was barely mentioned around here this is still going strong.
Not to downplay 9/11 but there\'s a whole lot else happening out there that\'s equally terrible and people don\'t even hear about it.

I totally agree with you but if you went into CE, there was a topic about Russia.

That was a very sad day for the world :(
how many died in total? I think I remember it being a lot less than they thought at first....still sad though :(
And Osama is still free roaming the middle east. We better find him soon.....I hope he gets what he deserve, he shouldnt get the death penalty, life in prison would be much worse, he would probably get beat to death by some of the people in there. Death still wouldnt be an extreme enough punishment for what he did.

About 3k dead from twin towers collapsing, pentagon crash, and downed plane in PA. They thought it would be more considering the twin towers can hold 50,000 people and the Pentagon is the largest office building in the world.
Crazy reading through that thread again, thanks for the reminder.

Peace to the world.

Too bad the ignorant everyday citizen is the one that suffers the consequences of decisions and actions of the few.
-
It\'s amazing how fast time passes.
-
I miss all the members who have stopped posted since then.
Gtfo newbs.
-
You mean there were members in these boards who have passed away from the attack? :(
-
No, there were a lot of great members who posted in that thread who have since stopped. Weltall, Caspian, DataMage.. :(
they\'re not dead, btw..
-
I speak to Data on a regular basis... I do miss Sonyfan, however.
-
Damn you! I was planning on bringing up SonyFan as someone I miss.. now you stole all my thunder! Asshole.
I still post at Weltall\'s own forums, but I\'m hardly on MSN anymore, so I don\'t get to chat to anyone much. And I\'m never on AIM.
Anyways, yah, hard to believe it\'s been three years. Go team.

Yeah...VERY depressing...
The total number was 2,823, which is a record for most number of lives lost in a terrorist attack...

I think the whole world is horrified over that attack. The only reason it wasn\'t talked about so much is that information from that section of the world is slow in getting out and accuracy is always a factor.
-
Yeah, that and the WTC was overall much worse than what happened in Russia. Not just because it was American.
-
Yeah it was sad that people died, but this stuff bothers me. not this thread.
Just like the media and everyone in the whole worldddddd saying the same shit on this day every year.
I don\'t mind if everyone mourns and what not, but i don\'t like hearing the same fake "respectful" stuff from everyone.
Perhaps im just not a fan of repeating the same things over and over again.
-
I don\'t ever wanna hear you talk about your birthday or Christmas or Thanksgiving or any annual celebrations, commemerations, etc...

Perhaps you just cant grasp what happened. Each and every person that died that day went to work without ever imagining they would never see their family again. Try counting from one to 2,832 out loud. Each and every number is someones sister, mother, friend etc. Pregnant women and people just beginning their lives and carreers. Fake respect? Its not fake, we just have hearts.
-
I have a heart.
I just see a lot of this as emotionless. And that bothers me.
