My buds have been coming over to my house regularly every weekend and a couple of females show up too. I\'m looking for multiplayer games that will keep both sexes entertained. For example the guys have a blast with Burnout 3 and SF Anniversary but the girls just get bored.
So far I\'ve been recommended DDR and Top Spin for Xbox (both 4-players). Any others?
-
Depends. Which systems do you have?
-
If you have a cube you can\'t go wrong with Mario Kart or Mario Party 4. (I didn\'t care for Mario Party 5) Don\'t brush them off because they seem kiddy, you\'ll get hours of fun out of them no matter the age. Both support 2-4 player.
I honestly can\'t tell you how much time my friends and I have spent on Double Dash...Bob-omb Blast is the best thing to happen to Mario Kart. Shine Thief and regular old battle mode are fun as well:)
EDIT:
I haven\'t played it but maybe Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball is fun...I\'m not sure about the multiplayer aspect. Perhaps someone can comment.
-
If you have a Dreamcast, you can stock up on Powerstone 1 and 2 for relatively cheap. Then of course there\'s Virtua Tennis (2k2), and Chu Chu Rocket.
As for Nintendo stuff, Ginko is right on the money. If you happen to have 4 GBA\'s, I HIGHLY reccomend 4 swords.

It stinks.
-
Powerstone!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!! I wish they would make another one:D:(
Speaking of fighting games, Super Smash Bros. Melee on the cube is also a must have as far as multiplayer goodness goes.
-
Crash Team Racing on ps1 is really fun!
-
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy is a great hack n slash for four players and no slowdown with the tons of enemies on screen!
-
Dont get fighters. Girls dont dig them. That is unless you can mash buttons and its quirky.
See, if women played videogames as much as guys do, the world would be a lot happier (by a small percent of course but still).
-
^^ He\'s looking for a game that girls will enjoy, too.
I say EyeToy.
-
I know. Thats why i said stay away from fighters. I know i didnt stuh-stuh-stutter. :p
-
Time Crisis 3, most chicks dig light gun games as they have a simple interface

I was actually replying to Zolar..
You just got in before me.

Fried chicken in a pool of blood.
That sounds like a good one where can I get it?
All consoles welcome. Good ones mentioned are Mario Party, Powerstones, and Virtua Tennis. Totally forgot about them.
Super Smash Brothers was a blast when I had it but like Nicon mentioned girls HATE fighters. My friend\'s wife just goes into a coma when we start getting into SFA. But I\'ll pick it up anyway. ;)
I just looked at the back of F-Zero GX and it does 4-players too. Something to toss in if the girls are all simultaneously taking a sh!t. Hmm maybe I should put Ex-lax in their drinky-poos.
-
F-Zero GX is alot of fun but after a few races I usually find that everyone wants to play Mario Kart or Mario Party instead.
-
If anyone is any good, go for Tetris Worlds on Xbox.
I\'m in that situation a lot too, though, and the girls usually don\'t play. Virtua Fighter or DOA might keep their attention for a couple fights, but not much...

Fuzion Frenzy, Top spin, Outlaw Volleyball, Super Monkey Ball (soon coming to ps2 and xbox)
-
Yeah. Damn hormone differences (or w/e). Girl gamers (real girls gamers) are a god send (though some are really ugly. :p).
They get too frustrated too easily. I guess its a barbaric type of thing that guys have going for them but girls never dig fighters. They also can never get serious about games (or serious ones at least).
Sad thing really. I guess games are like the equivalent of makeup or barbies. Who knows. We DO come from different planets. I wonder who made that bullshit up.

Two words :
Fantavision (PS2). Period.
It\'s a crying shame so few people have actually even tried the game out by themselves, let alone with a friend. Simple, pretty, insanely competitive and also triggers bursts of spontaneous violence towards the opposing player, what more can you ask for?
Oh yeah, and a couple more "musts", both for PS1 (pretty rare nowadays, especially SPF2T) :
Bishi Bashi Special
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Both have all the attributes listed for Fantavision, except for the pretty factor. In BBS\'s case its ugliness is in fact one of its fortes.

y\'know i must have a rare breed...me and the wifey will sit down every now and then and bang out to either tekken or doa...yea she likes the fighting games.. ;) she\'s not that good in them but she likes them..

Couldn\'t agree more. One of the mest mutiplayer games I ever played. Easily compares to Mario Kart (and yes I have MK:DD for Cube). Pitty Vervendi screwed up the sequel to it (Crash Nitro Kart)
