I can\'t wait for this game, i can go ps2 online now with atv offroad 2! Yeeha!only 3 to 4 days left!
See you guys online sometimes!
-
I was really considering getting this for PC, but ever since I read it was nothing but mediocre compared to all the PC shooters just like it with plenty of flaws to make it really difficult to accomplish objectives on certain sides, I lost interest. Dissapointing really.
-
No doubt that some pc games are better, but for a console like a ps2 that allows you to play a multi player game and ride vehicles like in battlefield 1942 , its like never been done before on the ps2.
-
Agreed. Enjoy it on PS2. I\'m just upset it sucks on the PC.
-
Played the OPM demo -- Good fun. i_killed_ur_dog will be picking it up as soon as it gets here.
-
Hell yeah I will!
-
it looks interesting. if any of you guys pick it up, please post your impressions.
-
How did the console versions do better than the PC version?
That\'s a 1 in a million kind of odds, I still want the PC version though so I can play my friends.
-
The PC versions, in all respects, is indeed superior, but in this day and age, there\'s a hundred other games on the PC just like Battlefront that are 100 times better then it, but on the PS2 and the Xbox, this type of game is about as new as soundless velcro.

I am torn between either getting the Star Wars DVD box set today...or
waiting and getting SW:battlefront on friday.
Oh the agony of choice... I mean what if SW:B is full of smaktards online :(
I Suppose that’s the risk ALL online games face.

IMPRESSIONS:
Ive bought it and have played it online, lagging is minimal with 4 persons online as Lucas Arts supply you a patch to enhance the speed. The patch is stored in your memory card.
I used mic and headset,no communications problem whatsoever and it was like there are too many vehicles to pilot.
By the way i like to play as the supporting role, PILOT.Yes, instead of fighting against each other mindlessly, all 4 person stand united with the REPUBLIC and the cooperative play is as fun as JOYRIDE.I give my online buddies medikits when they have taken heavy enemy punishment.Lots of vehicles that can allow more than 1 or 2 person on board. For example,AT AT, there is one human driver and another human could be a co pilot manning the additional turret.
Even if you don\'t have online, the single player and split screen offers some fantastic gameplay.
This and Monster Hunter will be ps2 ONLINE GAME of the year.
My online name is Waspman.

This is the first Star Wars game in a long time that doesn\'t use a paragraph for their damn title :) The future is looking bright...

its not that good.
You need to buy your own servers.
No friends list.
No Clans list.
Requires pretty good DSL/Cable connection.
Mics are choppy.
No Game lobbys.

I would like to listen to your cockney accents in the mic ooseven,by the way i just played again today and meet the same persons online yesterday , too many interesting events to tell and weirdo challengers come and go.
I host a game on Endor just now and beat 3 other online challengers with the helpful cute little guys.....
I even saw this guy hosting a game and capturing the bases all by himself, when i joined the game and prevented him from capturing the last base , he quit, lol.
good times.............

You don\'t need to buy your own server if you are hosting 5 to 6 people, its only if you want to turn this game into a confusing game of 16 players with many bots running around.
My mics are ok, i can hear 3 people talk simultaneously.
You can press refresh to see game lobbies.

My brother got it for XBox, I played it online with XBox Live. Im not really a Star Wars fan at all but I think the game is pretty cool. Playing with up to 24 human players is insane. I don\'t think its worth buying unless you\'re a big Star Wars fan though.
-
I playied a demo of it but didnt like it much

The Playstation 2 version sucks bad. If you don\'t have an X-Box, or Gamecube stay away from the PS2 version! It sucks! Alot of slowdown. When is PS3 coming out!!!!!!!
