Hey, do you guys know the difference between a 12 Guage surge protector and a 14 Guage surge protector?

is one better than the other?

I\'m guessing it\'s the thickness of the cable?  the smaller number the better (or more load it can handle).

Lower gauge = thicker wire

yeah, i am talking about the cable...12 guage and 14 guage power cable i suppose.

So, the smaller the number the thicker the cable...that means its better to buy a surge protector with 12 guage than 14 guage.  I see.  Thanks for the help...
