Kind of funny that even though they have over 1000 deaths and will probably climb to 2000, there really isn\'t much written about this.  Well I see a story here and there, but that is a lot of deaths.

I guess since they don\'t build super computers, oil, military equipment, etc. we don\'t care too much.

But honestly, who are you blaming here?  I see a story on the frontpage of cnn.com, foxnews.com, msnbc, and bbc news.

Not really blaming anyone.  It\'s just amazing how much this country has been desimated.  Grass huts plus a ton of water equals grass.

No one really cares about deaths caused by natural disasters.  They care a little bit more if the deaths were manmade, or if white people were killed.  I don\'t agree with it, but that\'s the way it is.

Now it\'ll be interesting to see what aid and relief we send them.

I saw a couple articles on them. Didn\'t really read them though. 1000+ dead in Haiti from the hurricane doesn\'t make that many headlines but a few dead in Iraq is frontpage news.

So the storm that was in Haiti came here yesterday.  No big whoop.  Maybe they should put in a retention pond or two.  Or perhaps some storm drainage.  Or perhaps mix in some shingles with their grass roofs.

The reason it isnt making front pages here is because it doesn\'t have to do with our country. To the people in this country, a few deaths of our soldiers in Iraq is much more important than the 1000 deaths in Haitis. It very sad, but true.

I saw some of it on the news today.. People fighting over food, UN troops having to fire rounds into the air etc.

The situation is pretty bad..

Though, I think we top them when it comes to natural disasters. http://www.sterilecreed.com/weather/
