According to scientists,Blade Runner is the best sci-fi ever.
Stanley Kubrick\'s 2001: A Space Odyssey from 1968 is second and Steven Spielberg\'s Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) is third.
I\'ve never been a fan of things like "Scientist\'s say this is the best movie, this is the worst drug or this is the best food etc.."
It all comes down to personal opinion.
What do you guys think?

Scientists probably have other ways at labeling movies as being the best than their personal tastes. One thing\'s for sure. Some one who personally likes Alien VS Predator more than Alien or Predator or Blade Runner doesnt know whats a good movie or a bad one
-
Better than the Matrix?!!?! I call bullshit.
*Scratches off "piss off LiC/mm" on my to-do list*

Not a huge fan of Star Wars but surprised it asn\'t on that :ghey: list. I thought Blade Runner was extremey cool as sci fi movies go though the ending was sour. I also like Brazil but it\'s a bit zany for most.

I personally didn\'t like blade runner.. (even though i own it) I just find it to dull and pointless...... i mean, really pointless.
-
Blade Runner was awesome considering the time it was released (although it has become very stale now). I can\'t stand the Space Odyssey crap...like staring at a wall for a few hours.
And yes, I don\'t give a flying hoot owl\'s ass about those scientists\' opinions, it\'s all about personal preference.

2001 is GUARANTEED to put me to sleep. Never fails. I still have no clue what the movie is about.

Odd, I generally sit there in awe for the duration of 2001: A Space Oddysey. Eh..
I dare say Star Wars wasn\'t on the list because it\'s more fantasy oriented.

I personally dont think its a movie that should be viewed the same way we are used to viewing normal movies.Perhaps its shouldnt be called a movie at all.Its like a surreal documentary or something.:nut: :sconf:

Documentary?

DUDE!!!
C\'mon! \'Tron\' has gotta be one of the bes Sci-Fi films! That\'s a great movie. One of my faves i must say. Alongside \'Alien\'.
I thought Tron was a lot better than Blade Runner. It was a good movie... But, C\'MON!....
TRON!

blade runner > all
well deserved

Blade Runner is a great film, it never got the recognition it deserved when it first came out.
-
Don\'t scientists have better things to research than the best sci-fi movie of all time?

Ok so mm does have some reasonable tastes. :p
I love blade runner. Theres a lot that could be said about it but one thing that ill mention is the atmosphere. Back then and/or when i was a kid, the atmosphere was just stunning.

blade runner is a bad ass movie.
My guess is the scientist were comparing how long would it take before u got 2 make out with your girlfriend while watching a sci-fi movie.

Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies. And just to reiterate....mm has bad taste in movies. However, even a blind man can hit the target once in a while. :)
