This is from some interview, the guy can\'t even freaking talk correctly.
Bush Video (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/sovereignty.mov)
-
yo, the company i work for must really be conservative based..i can\'t get the video..:(...:p
-
......ummm, what is soverant? Because since i dont know what that means, and he used it in every sentance or sometimes a little different variation of the word, I had no idea what he was talking about.

Neither did Bush.
I hate Bush, I can\'t stand Kerry, frankly the government pushes us to vote and what do they give us? A complete idiot, and a guy who can\'t make up his mind.
-
Making fun of someone with a speech problem is real damn mature man. Grow Up.
-
Waits for giga to chime in how it was an inspirational answer taken out of context. ;)
-
*sigh*
It sounded like an obvious question.. possibly so obvious that it was hard for Bush to explain thus making him trip all over his words. It doesn\'t sound like this makes sense, but that\'s what it looked like.

This isn\'t a matter of Bush\'s speech impediment. It\'s true the interviewer didn\'t phrase the question very well, but it wouldn\'t have been especially difficult if Bush had paused a moment to reflect on it. Instead he decided to try and sound smart by answering quickly and talking out of his ass. In the middle of his second sentence, he realized he was up the creek. He does this all the time.
I don\'t understand why so many people forgive him for stuff like this when it\'s obvious that he\'s an idiot. I mean, I can understand an average bonehead liking Bush because he appears to be an ordinary guy, but shouldn\'t the president of the most powerful nation on earth be smarter than an ordinary guy? To me, the president I vote for need to be at least as smart as I am. That is the minimum qualification. Bush does not meet the minimum qualification.

Have you SEEN Nader? I wouldn\'t let that guy wash my car let alone run my country.

I don\'t care if he sometimes loses his footing while speaking publicly.
And John Kerry can make up his mind, but he presents a different image to fit the mold of the latest polls.
-
I\'ve seen this video a couple weeks ago. Its old news.

The debates are coming up.
Kerry will own Bush.

Are you sure Kerry will even make up his mind to debate?

As much as I dislike Bush, I also don\'t live in a fantasy world where I think Bush will lose the election due to Kerry "owning" Bush in the debates. Bush may be a sorry speaker, but the debates mean nothing when public opinion is not high of the rival and that will be Kerry\'s problem, his campaign has not generated enough postive hype to carry him through the debates and into the Whitehouse.
-
Yes they can.
Alot of past presidential debates contributed to the candidate\'s votes.
For example, Gore and his never ending sighs.
Debates are a big deal because here we can actually see the two candidates respond and react on their feet and not have somebody else tell them what to say.
And Halberto...I see the Republican ads are doing their work.
-
(1) Yes, the Republican campaigns are doin\' what they are suppose to. They are creating doubt about Kerry and his indescive mind. I hate Bush. Can\'t stand him, but I even realize that Kerry cannot make his mind up. Infact, the only reason I will vote for Kerry is because of John Edwards.
(2) Debates do not mean near as much as they use to and we all know what they are going to focus on..The war on terrorisim.
(3) Admit one thing, you\'d vote for a retard in a bib and diaper before you\'d vote Bush. You cannot honestly think John Kerry has all the answers to America\'s problems. I really doubt he will get elected and if he does, I don\'t think he will be a memorable President. Then again, if it was not for 9/11 George W. Bush would not be remembered for anything.
-
By that reasoning Mystiq - Lurch - I mean Kerry will really win them over...
I doubt we will see anyone owning anybody. I see Kerry giving his same contradictory answers and making feeble attempts at humor while I see Bush repeating his answers and sticking to the same things he has been saying all along. Maybe he will even stumble over a few words - anyone who has ever done any public speaking has, but these are flaws that make him likeable - the public sees that he is human.
Remember this first debate is about foreign policy - something Kerry is very weak in. If the debates have any importance it is usually on the first one - as it gets the highest viewer ratings.

People will hate Bush no matter what stance he takes:
"If he stumbles over his words, he is an embarrassing idiot. If he manages to cut taxes or wage a war against Saddam Hussein with bipartisan support, he is a manipulative genius.
If he hasn\'t been able to capture Osama bin Laden, he is endangering U.S. security. If he catches bin Laden, it is only a ploy to influence the elections.
If he ignores U.N. resolutions, he is a dangerous unilateralist. If he takes U.N. resolutions on Iraq seriously, he is a dangerous unilateralist. If he doesn\'t get France to agree to his Iraq policy, he is ignoring important international actors. If he supports multiparty talks on North Korea, he is not doing enough to ignore important international actors.
If he bombed Iraq, he should have bombed Saudi Arabia instead, and if he had bombed Saudi Arabia, he should have bombed Iran, and if he had bombed all three, he shouldn\'t have bombed anyone at all. If he imposes a U.S. occupation on Iraq, he is fomenting Iraqi resistance by making the United States seem an imperial power. If he ends the U.S. occupation, he is cutting and running.
If he warns of a terror attack, he is playing alarmist politics. If he doesn\'t warn of a terror attack, he is dangerously asleep at the switch. If he says we\'re safer, he\'s lying, and if he doesn\'t say we\'re safer, he\'s implicitly admitting that he has failed in his core duty as commander in chief.
If he adopts a doctrine of preemption, he is unacceptably remaking American national-security policy. If the United States suffers a terror attack on his watch, he should have preempted it. If he signs a far-reaching antiterror law, he is abridging civil liberties. If the United States suffers another terror attack on his watch, he should have had a more vigorous anti-terror law.
Bush\'s economy hasn\'t created new jobs. If it has created new jobs, they aren\'t well-paying jobs. If they are well-paying jobs, there is still income inequality in America."
Rich Lowry

I don\'t understand the point of that Rich Lowry article. Scrutinizing and criticizing every action of a US President is nothing new. It\'s been going on since our nation was founded, and it\'s stupid to complain about it. Furthermore, I think it\'s ESSENTIAL and healthy for us to question authority at every opportunity.
What worries me is when there isn\'t enough questioning of the president\'s policies, and too many people develop the belief that a president can do no wrong. Even worse is when US citizens are accused of "treason" or "aiding the enemy" for simply speaking out against the policies of a democratically elected official.

I think hes just pointing out peoples unfair judgement on Bush, people who dislike him to feel a) rebelious b) smarter c) just likes to be negative (ooseven)
-
A. This country was founded with rebellious attitudes.
B. I can pronounce the word nuclear.
C. The country is not in the best of shape. IMHO it is a shame there are so many people that listen to people like Rush Limbaugh, and Reagan\'s son. Somehow every person I have met that listens to them all think they have original ideals. Yet it inevitably it was something that was on one of the aforementioned shows. So yeah I am a bit negative. There are a lot of stupid people out there.

My feelings exactly. If Edwards was the democratic candidate this election would be a no-brainer.

yep...
More Bush (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/georgewbushdrunk.wmv)

Why do you keep posting old stuff like this? You think its going to help support Kerry? This forum is for real debates in politics, how bout looking for stuff that has to do with politics... And voting for someone because of the possible vice president is stupid. How often does the vice president become president?
-
I don\'t like Kerry, but I hate Bush.
That\'s my stance. The lesser of two evils.
-
I think it was Jenneane Gorofolo who said watching Bush speak is like a parent wishing that their child finishes the sentence correctly in a school play. ;)
I hope Bush wins but he definitely doesn\'t have the gift of public speaking. That video loooks a tad old, I wonder if how he\'ll do in the debates.
-
Most the people who think it is cool to hate bush arn\'t old enough to vote, so stop worrying.
Anyways, I doubt kerry will win. To win, he\'d have to make major headlines during the debates.

But just because his public speaking sucks, doesn\'t mean he\'s a bad president. I think he\'s a good president. He makes a decision and sticks to it. That\'s what I look for in a leader, someone who sticks to their guns. Plus he has more policies and beliefs that I believe in too. Kerry can\'t make up his mind about anything. Like Bush said, "he can have a 90 minute debate with himself".

That my friend is a lack of knowledge. I\'m in college, everyone here is old enough to vote, and there is a pretty big anti-Bush contingency.
Let me lay out the situation.
Up until the late years of Clinton\'s presidency, I hadn\'t given a damn about politics. But since Bush took office my Dad has gotten laid off, two of my friends are fighting a war that we shouldn\'t be in, and 86.5 billion dollars could have gone into domestic issues like education instead being wasted over seas.
Listen, I know we are the most powerful country in the world, but we don\'t have to police the world, think about it, why do you think other countries hate us in the first place? We should help the countries in need, and avoid war at all cost. Bush has decided to make America seem like the most conceited group of people in the world. He totally screwed the United Nations, kinda like he told them "we don\'t need you anyway."
I was not always Anti-Bush, in fact I gave him every opportunity to prove me wrong, but he keeps spending money like we have unlimited resources.
Look, I\'m was not a big Clinton fan, in fact I disliked the man, but scandal aside, there was stability in our country, something we lack now.
In my lifetime, none of our past 3 presidents have done anything that will make them memorable. To my knowledge Reagan was probably the best we had in recent history.
Bash me all you want, that\'s how I feel. Our political system sucks. They preach democracy, but they don\'t live by it.

I don\'t see the difference between F9/11 and the Republican\'s ads.
Halberto over there is whining about how Kerry has switched his mind so many times. Especially about the war. And now the GOP have a new AD that pays close attention to Kerrys "flip flops"
In the newspaper today they took what was on the Ad and actually put out what the whole quote was about.
Michael Moore = GOP
Anybody can make another person seem feeble with the right cuts here and there.
The first debate will be important. Millions of people will be watching and unless everysingle one of them has already decided who they are going to vote for...I doubt it...the debate could swing votes to one side. Impressions are important and the debate will affect voters. This is the first debate and it will be the most watched therefore Kerry has to show up Bush. Especially because of the subject they are going to be discussing...foreign policy.
This debate could either make or break Kerry and if he comes out big this one time he could change alot of minds. Bush is seen as "strong" in foreign policy(I guess going to war and causing even more damage means your "stronger"...like back in the day) and this could also make or break him.
I\'ve actually enrolled concurrently with my community college and my high school and I\'ve noticed that there is a lot of anti-Bush going around. From the Principal to the counselor. Even the karate and Government teacher.
And before Giga can take a hit at me for being enrolled in a community college...I haven\'t finished high school I enrolled to get Humanities and Chem out of the way before going to college.
Go SMU!...or Caltech...

Rarely. Cheney is probably one of the few.

As goofy as GWB can be sometimes don\'t be fooled into thinking he can\'t handle an arrogant I know what\'s better for you liberal like Kerry.
Kerry is going to come of as an angry loudmouth tonight. He will sound like he\'s talking down to the president and to the American people. He is good at twisting what his position is and that\'s his best bet for tonight but I think the media and the American people are on to him.
Too bad this sorry state (MA) can\'t see the same thing. The fact that we have Kerry and Kennedy as our senators is such a joke. Not to mention the rest of the freaks that we elect in this state.
-
WTF? Angry loudmouth, that\'s being too generous, I can\'t even tell what he\'s talking about some times. You understand why I\'m in such a pickle with this election?
-
I\'m not liking either candidate at this point. I\'m a registered republican and I don\'t even know if i\'m going to vote for Bush, or even waste my time at this polls this election. I don\'t see things changing all that much with either guy.

Please save your trash talking until AFTER the debate. :p

Is Kerry still that oompa loompa shade of orange?
-
LOL!
I sure hope so.

 I heard about it but didn\'t see it. Anyone have a picture of him?

I think he bought some cheap bottle tanner.
-
Oh my god. He does look like an Oompa Loompa.
