07 of October of 2004

The county of Riverside accepted to pay 77 thousand dollars to an undocumented immigrant who demanded to the Department of the Sheriff alleging the use of racial profiles in his halting and later deportation to Mexico.

To only one week which he occurred to know that one second demand had been presented/displayed against the county of Riverside, the lawyers of Francisco Padilla affirmed that, although the amount of the amount is not great, does not stop being important for its client.

Padilla had presented/displayed another demand the year last, after to be struck by an agent of that corporation during an arrest in the city of Temécula.

The events happened in April of 2003 were recorded in a video and, although a preliminary investigation determined then that the agent of sheriff Alex Todd did not use excessive force, the plaintiff and their lawyers persisted in their litigation.

The county?no accepts no culpability when closing the case, but [ this ] does not let send a very clear message in the sense that our client equivocadamente was arrested and struck, it indicated Brown Gregory lawyer, of the company/signature of Colored person, Becerra & Guerrero.

?El was not looking for to become millionaire, which wanted that they accepted is that they had done something badly, for that reason the amount is justified and reasonable, Colored person added.

?Ambas parts wanted La Paz, our client to be able to follow ahead with their life and they [ the representatives of the county ] no longer want to call the attention to their practices and the narrow relation that have with the Border Patrol, it said, on the other hand, Luis Cheek, that represented Padilla in this second demand.

The past 2 of Padilla August were stopped by agents of the Sheriff in the city of Temécula by an infraction of transit and referred the Border Patrol, that deported it to Mexico of voluntary form when asking for it Padilla.

The year last, after to be struck by the agent of the Sheriff, Padilla also was deported to Mexico by the Border Patrol of Temécula.

The extrajudicial agreement to which Monday was arrived in the evening covers both cases against the county. Previously to close the cases, a civil judgment against the county by the first demand had paid attention, that was programmed for March of the incoming year.

In agreement with the lawyers, Padilla is in Mexico and telephone route accepted the amount of the amount offered by the county of Riverside to close both cases.

On another topic...

I remember reading a thread on here that says that you would vote for kerry if he promised to deport everysingle illegal immigrant...That\'s a pretty stupid comment.

Have you ever just sat there with an unbiased mind and thought out and figured out what exactly would happen if somebody did attempt to do that?

The Constitution protects EVERY person\'s rights in the US within the border.

It\'s been that way for a very long time.

Well screw that, if you\'re illegal and don\'t pay taxes of any sort, you don\'t need to be here. The guy doesn\'t deserve a dime except money to cross the border and get the hell out. I wish I could recieve money for racial profiling, but I\'m white so I\'d never have that chance. This is all getting f***ing ridiculous, and you sit here and say good he should recieve money for something he doesn\'t deserve, real bright.

Isn\'t that a liberal interpretation the Constitution?  Where does it state "every person" regardless of nationality?
