So a regular on a board I visit (maxima.org) was in the news:
http://www.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/ny-lifata1008,0,2046726.story
He was the driver who lived. Kinda crazy but people are having mixed reactions. Some feeling sorry for him and others saying they hope he rots in jail.
I\'d put fault on everyone, the driver may have been drunk but the passengers should never have gotten in the car with him. But then again I\'ve never been drunk so I have no clue how good one\'s comprehension can be.
-
depends on how drunk you are :P
although you should never drive drunk.
I thought I was totally fine to drive once before and I parked my car sideways in the middle of the street and home and went to bed :P
My friend Tyler thank god came and found the keys and moved the car.

It\'s everyones fault, the drivers for driving, & the pass. for getting in the car knowing he was drunk. they have something called common sense and if there willing to get into a car knowing the driver has been drinking it\'s called guilty by associaton.
Can\'t say I haven\'t driven home after a few beers though.

that was a sweet ass g-35 he totaled too...s**t happens all the time..if you know some cat is lifted at the wheel...either offer to drive or don\'t go with him...you also have to be aware of your tolerance level..i know i\'ve driven home from the clubs kinda lit but i\'m not all over the road driving crazy..
maybe it also helps that i\'m chuckin down water bottles to de-tox as well...in any case i don\'t condone it but i feel some people can actually drive pretty decent under the influence...not everybody but some...
-
That and its not like he got in the car hoping he crashed and killed his friends.

It\'s irresponsible, period.

killing of a human being by preforming something extremely likely to cause bodily injury and or death with a motor vehicle - vehicular homicide
I say he\'s going to the pokey

You can\'t blame the passenger. I once got into a car wit a friend. I mean the guy did not seem hammered. Plus there was another friend in the car so I figured everything was cool. Well my stupid friend turns a corner going 80mph. Let me tell you if there was not a huge rock in front of this home. We would had gone straight throught the front window.
I am scared to drive with people sober:stick:

simple... u drink don\'t drive.. Anything that happens after you\'ve been drinking is your own fault..
-
What I don\'t understand is why speed when you know you\'re drinking and driving.

cause speeding plus listening to music that you like go hand in hand...

Ok, I can think of instances from not being completely sober. I drive like a grandma, 1 mph under the speed limit pretty much.
-
I usually speed 5-10 average over. I dont\' speed during bad weather (rain, snow) nor on a windy street.

Drinking and Driving is just stupid. I guess a lot of people havent been in incidents close enough to death that could stop them from doing it. Psychologically i guess its hard to accept the fact that drinking and driving is so hard when youve either done it with little problems or never tried.
I dont drink so ill never get into this sort of thing but getting sleepy at the wheel is a whole different thing that i could see myself doing more.
Fact of the matter is: Drinking and driving is just STUPID.

If you are really hammered, ride a bike home. No one ever has been killed in a bike accident, unless you are the guy on a bike that tried to cross the Interstate and got run over by a semi, but that\'s not the point :)
