Title: Boxed Ps2?

Alright, Im very new to the whole P2 thing. But Im thinking about buying a system from this guy who said he had his P2 "boxed" I guess you use a gameshark to play burnt games. However he said that the wiring is a little messed up and I might have to do some tweaking.

I have a couple questions
1. How does this work? How can i get this fixed.
2. Can I reverse this "boxing" process?
3. What happens if a P2 wont spin the disc when I try to start it??

What the hell does boxed mean? Don\'t buy it is my advice.
