Compare it to the Xbox\'s "Duke" controller. Makes it even funnier.
The PSTwo is so class.
-
Haha. PSTwo is so sweet.
-
My only beef with the PSTwo design is the top loader but other than that it\'s dead sexy. If my PS2 ever dies, which it seems like it will very soon, I\'ll pick up the new model.
Makes the Xbox so unattractive...

Man, the PS2 should have been top loading from jump. With Sony\'s track record, when it comes to quality control, the less moving parts the better.

I don\'t know, the flip-top just looks so flimsy from the pics I\'ve seen...in other words it looks cheap.

yea i agree..remember the 1st playstation? where you had to flip it on it\'s side to get games to play?..:p i like the new design but i have the hdd and this doesn\'t support it!

Wow, it\'s a shame you don\'t already have a PS2.
Besides, just because it doesn\'t have an internal HDD bay doesn\'t mean it doesn\'t support it.

Friend of mine has a PSTwo and it\'s even smaller then it really looks. It\'s only a TINY BIT bigger then a standard dvd amaray case and as tall as two dvd amaray cases stacked up. It\'s just a beautiful design all around. The top loading doesn\'t bother me at all. My Gamecube and Dreamcast were both top loading models and they still work to this day.

Is it out yet?
I need to buy a new PS2, as I gave my old launch one to my father.

I\'m thought Sony said the PSTwo will not support the HDD and that they are currently looking into alternative methods?

The ethernet adapter is built on.

That picture is hilarious.

It looks great imo. Much better than the old chunky one.

i think square was highly upset about it not having a hdd hookup..because of the whole ff11 thing..which i don\'t blame them to a degree, it shows that sony is basically calling the hdd a failure...and what happens if my ps2 just happens to break down? am i gonna be forced to buy this thing with no hdd support? or are they still going to produce the old model with the hdd access as well?
i have the hdd and i\'d be pissed if they stopped support for it...
-
oh calmn down, ps3 isn\'t too far away anyway.

CHUNKY!?

I bought the PStwo to replace my junky chunky one. ;]
It\'s wildly tiny. In fact, I\'d say it\'s so small as to become unattractive. It doesn\'t look right next to big tvs, stereos and the ungodly sized Xbox.
But it works like a charm so far, which is what I needed. Though no one talks about its lack of a cooling fan. That makes me nervous, but I played Def Jam all day on it without problems.
My old PS2 kept scratching the disc and refusing to play it. It took me two systems and three copies of Def Jam, but I\'ve finally beaten it. :)

It would be nice if it had a built in vertical stand that flipped out on the sides. I guess its one of those systems that you put on top of the tv. Heh. That feels so old school - putting systems on top of the tv.
