Title: Ps2 Connection Problems!
Post by: AwesomeB33 on October 20, 2004, 06:44:42 PM
Hey, I recently encountered a problem concerning my connection to my online games on my ps2.  I noticed when i tried playing my socom 2 after a much needed 1 month break from it.  The problem is when i get connected I am only on for a short period of time(3-5 mins) and then my seal/terr stops moving and then i get kicked off.  I called Sony and asked them what they thought about this.  They told me it could be a firewall or something wrong with my router.  I disabled the firewall, messed around with the router ports, and still no luck.  I also told the Sony Rep. that I have recently bought a new computer and wondered if this would have anything to do with the problem, and he told me it shouldn\'t have anything to do with the problem.  If you have ANY advice it will be greatly appreciated, because I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of and still the problem persists every time I am logged in. Thanks

What isp do you have?

It may be a problem with your provider booting your connection because it sees you as idle.
