Unfortunately, those pics have been tweaked for hi-res press shots -or- that is the replay mode -or- that is the photo mode. From what I\'ve read and heard, those who\'ve seen GT4 say it\'s just a tad better looking than GT3.

A lot of the pictures on the 1st page are old but the second page has a decent deal of things i havent seen before. Of course thats not to say that whatever i havent seen is new, i check fairly often.
So many sexy cars. And screw what it looks like to other people. The only opinion i trust most of the time is my own and whether is looks the same or not, this is a must buy.
Those Rotary Mazda Cosmo\'s and those alpines are looking pretty sexy too. Too many great cars to name.
EDIT: I really wish they do better noise sampling this time around. In GT2 they went out and recorded all the different engine sounds and for the most part you can tell but in GT3 they didnt sound as diverse. Maybe its me and maybe im right but i hope every car doesnt sound the same.
EDIT2: Damn... Looks like some old courses are coming back too. I just bought GT1 and 2 again and im pretty sure ive seen some
old courses on there.
EDIT3: Looking at these pictures keeps on making me think. They really need to put a small blur effect in there or something. GT1 didnt have it but it felt a lot faster than the others. Especially over 2. That and maybe more views when youre driving. I know its asking too much but it would be crazy to have an in cockpit view.
One thing im waiting for though: GT5 on PS3 - *DROOL*

I don\'t remember the last time I cared about other people\'s opinions when it came to videogames...I\'ll just wait and see for myself...
There\'s so much more attention to detail, and so many greater environments, I don\'t see how it\'s a "tad" better...were the people who played some how handicapped in the mind? Or are they just ignorant...? I can\'t wait for this game...yay!! :D <----- Ignore the lameness of the yay...

It looks absolutely the same !!! I was also at the Pit Stops while there was a sort of Testdrive for Touringcars. What a great Day ! ;)

Until the PS2 is HD, they simply can\'t produce images like this with a 480i image. It just isn\'t possible. That\'s why these press shots always look so much better than real life. Bummah.

These are all photomode pics.
Takes the PS2 12secs to render one 1024x578 frame or something like that I heard.

I dont think they are ALL photo mode. Either way I think they look good and the game is going to be great.

Of course they\'re not all photo mode pics, it\'s probably around 50-50, at least on the first page. Haven\'t checked the other pages.
I have to agree with whoever said it\'s not going to look as good on your tv. It\'s just too crisp and no sign of jaggies in these pics and there will of course be flickering. It definitely looks better than GT3, no doubt about that judging from my copy of Prologue but it certainly doesn\'t look as good as some of those pics.

The crowd is something I want to see in the final version.Polyphony Digital said they were going to have 3D crowd on the final version.Not sprites.In Prologue they are sprites that look like 3D.They look terrible in the replay mode some times because they look flat.
Some GT4 movies though I downloaded some time ago seems to show 3D crowd.

Well its obvious these screens are a bit beefed up. Weve been saying that about all these release screens for forever. The videos show a level of detail that hasnt been seen in GT3 and going on that and just the brilliance of the screens (knowing that the game wont be AS good), its obvious that it looks better.
Not only that but there are just so many cars and tracks that were taken out of GT3 from GT1+2 or just cars and tracks that werent there that are now. Its going to be damn sexy.;) A large part of cars on my wish list have been added. One i really wanted to see but am not sure if its there is the Caterham/Lotus Super 7 *Drool* *prays*

Unless it\'s a CG scene, there\'s no way GT4 will play that crisp on the PS2.
