This war is so damn pointless. There is no way we will ever win against people like this. The woman is an aid worker for god sake.
-
They were saying on the radio today just how dedicated she was to the Iraqi people.
Pointless? Well, I\'m not sure that would be the word I would choose.
Actually I think this proves the point of the war.
-
I Almost have to agree with vid. I think they should withdraw depending on how much their help is needed. If she is released then perhaps it proves that these people will negotiate to some point (of course this is highly debateable). If not then i say, they determined the fate of their comrades and we go in there with everybody and bomb the hell out of them or w.e.
Do like we did to the japanese. Put everybody in concetrated living facilities (not camps) and either search for terrorists or tell them that if they dont point out the bad apples then we\'ll kill all the kids. lol. J/K. Search them, and the abondoned homes and do a weapons search...
To be honest that would probably be expensive and i only say all of this because sometimes these people just piss me off.

I think they piss most of the free world off. They bite the hand that feeds them. It is a shame they destroy or try to destroy anything positive in that region.

Maybe if she wasn\'t morally against having any bodyguards she wouldn\'t be in this situation.

Heh I missed that part of the story. Good point.
-
Where does it say that? I didn\'t see it :(
I hope she is released. I\'m amazed the Iraqi people didn\'t start searching for her or demanding her release. She did so much for them.
-
first of all this s**t pisses me off..she\'s there to help them! f**kin\' a$$holes...
secondly i didn\'t agree with the war & yes maybe the iraq\'s are still heated about the invasion, but shit at some point you gotta get tired of seein these insurgents (which clearly are not irate iraq\'s doin it) blow up shit and causing havoc...step up to the plate and take your country back...
-
We need to get an Iraqi army up and running and supply them so they can get the insurgents themselves, with our help ofcoarse.
-
I wonder how happy the Iraqis are about joining the military after countless of bombings at the recruitment centres.. On top of that, this happened yesterday.

You are talking about a country that wasn\'t prepared for the "gift" of freedom.
From the beginning this war was doomed. The poor planning and overly enthusiastic predictions of what this war would bring only blinded people. They didn\'t ask us to free them, we told them they needed to be freed.

don\'t get me wrong..i agree with everything you stated..it\'s just that imo that after awhile they should be at a point where enough is enough...whereas in the beginning people was feelin sypathetic towards them..because of the invasion (at least the people who opposed the war) now these insurgents are doin s**t that are far worse than what the americans are doin\' by accident..
by accident i mean killing civilians indirectly by bombing area\'s lookin for insurgents...yea i know that clearly isn\'t the best way to snuff em out but hey that\'s the american way...bomb them now worry about the civilian casualties later...
point is is that these insurgents are killing iraq\'s now and not just coalition forces...if these iraq\'s (and i\'m not sayin they are) are still pissed about the invasion, which they have a right to be,..and still want to sulk about the americans bein there,..imo that\'s just wrong...what\'s done is done now they need to take advantage of the american military and work with them to remove these insurgents..
and living in a country that\'s known for it\'s brutal punishment schemes, it shouldn\'t be hard for these iraq\'s to let out that kind of frusrtation out on these insurgents...

Oh, I don\'t know if it\'s in that article. I had just read a whole thing on it in the Columbus Dispatch.

Ah. I was in my Web Design class searching that article with a fine tooth comb. I didn\'t see anything and thought I was mad :(

After all we sent the Bible bashers and the GUNS over on the First boat…

-
Well at least you all sent the people with good teeth.
-
ooseven is just jealous his teeth aren\'t as good looking ;)
-
Perfect teeth... but yet no Soul ;)
j/k
I\'ll think you will find that most people aren\'t the an\'t American nutters that you think.
Most of them just don\'t like your Admin and what they do.
Its the SMALL minority of people that hate the US that you have to watch out for.
The war has polarised everyone’s opinion both in the US and outside.
Just think if 9/11 didn’t happen and world terrorism was still seen in the USA as a minor thing, this years elections would most likely of been the LOWEST voter turnout in history.
