Apparently, ABC News is sitting on a new terror warning video tape telling of an attack on the US if Bush is elected.
ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist\'s face is concealed by a head dress, and he speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual. But US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as \'Assam the American.\'

If this is true this further substantiates the view that a vote for Kerry is a vote for Al Qaida.
-
This election is certainly one that will be remembered for a long long time.
Wow, could I have said something any more obvious?
-
This election will be one to be learned in history classes in many years to come.

Assuming it\'s real, one terrorist proclaiming his endorsement of Kerry by default does not substantiate anything. Maybe he\'s lying? There are arguments to be made on both sides of which vote supports Al Qaida. Bush\'s army invading Iraq has most likely increased support for Bin Laden. In the end, all arguments in this area are useless. You can only believe what you want to believe.
-
The guy said Afghanistan and the Taliban specifically.
Yes, you are right, I will believe what I want to believe and that is if Kerry gets elected we will look just as weak to the terrorists as Spain does.
-
i believe these terrorists will attack us regardless of who is in the white house...and to be honest you can really take this with a grain of salt, as it\'s well known that the u.s. recieves threats of this manner on a daily basis...
-
I agree clips, we do receive warnings quite often, but how can you take them with a grain of salt? Let alone anyone who has anything to do with our national defense?

hmmm..let me try to explain this..those who are monitoring these messages i believe recieve hundreds of threats a day..and that was clear as we\'ve witnessed the many threats coming from the terrorists about 911...those guys even stated that "yea we received these warnings, but it\'s hard to depict the one\'s to take seriously"...they have to consider the source..if it\'s legit, a hoax or whatever...all i\'m sayin is that..it\'s incredibly hard to decipher which threats are legit and which aren\'t...
i\'m sure tho in the events following post 911 that those looking into these threats do so more closely..but still feel it\'s incredibly difficult to act upon which threats they feel are legit...personally i do\'t want to hear of these threats..in post 911 every american by now should know what to expect.. nothing is 100%secure ..and if we do get hit again..i feel that ultimately it would be nobody\'s fault...just as i feel that 911 was nobody\'s fault..it was an event that truly nobody could\'ve stopped...
911 could not have been avoided no-matter who would\'ve been prez at the time...

Eh. Im kinda with cored but i can see what everybody else is saying. I never read up on it, but how are these tapes etc. recieved exactly?
This whole deal is so damn sad. I say we use these threats as excuses to nuke the **** out of iraq etc. They didnt help turn the terrorists in and they got nuked. Boo hoo.
lol. jk. Sometimes you just feel like that you know?
-
A Vote for Kerry is a vote for Al Quaeda?
I don\'t think they want Kerry to win...They just hate Bush because they feel like he has declared war on their religion.
But appereantly some Rep\'s choose to believe that Al Quaeda endorses Kerry. That\'s way beyond the boundaries of not being patriotic. It\'s pretty sad and disturbing. They hate America period and by they claiming that Bush is attacking them doesn\'t mean that they don\'t view us as "stronger" We are the invaders and attackers in their heads and whomever is president they will feel threatened by them. Kerry has said that he is going to continue to attack the damn terrorist! Shit, what do you have to do? Blow up a ****ing country with false evidence then claim it was for the good of the people?
Being able to declare war doesn\'t make you strong.
-
Even if their plan is real but they don\'t act onit.
It looks like the Terrorists are winning even without doing anything. (remember the 6 fake aircraft bomb warnings that happened this month)
How does that old saying go..
Kill Thousands terrorise millions.
But in this case it could just be
Threaten to kill Thousands and terrorise a country.
-
Warnings are for pussies.
I don\'t remember any warning about aircrafts blowing up buildings.
-
I guess the piece of crap on the tape states that this will be the consequence of voting for Bush. I wonder how many people will fold because of this. Spain anyone?
-
Wait - it gets even better! ABC said "journalistic balance"!!!!

TERROR TAPE WARNS OF BUSH, CHENEY CONSEQUENCE
**Exclusive**
The CIA and FBI have authenticated a new al Qaeda videotape which warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.
"What took place on September 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America and that our Lord willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11," the man, whose face is covered by a headdress, warns in the video.
"After decades of American tyranny, now it\'s your turn to die."
The alarming tape which warns the next terror attack will dwarf 9/11.
The CIA and FBI late Wednesday authenticated the tape, federal sources tell DRUDGE.
ABCNEWS, which obtained the tape from a source in Pakistan, has been informed of the government\'s standing.
A top goverment source said from Washington that ABC withheld the final 15 minutes of the tape from the feds -- the portion of the tape where the man warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.
"The FBI did not see the last 15 mins," the source claims.
ABC stongly denies the charge.
MORE
"You are guilty, guilty, guilty. You\'re as guilty as Bush and Cheney. You\'re as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell...," the man states.
He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.
"People of America, that was the verdict now for the sentencing: as participants and partners in the crimes of the regime, you too shall pay the price for the blood that has been spilled."
One ABC source, who demanded anonymity, said Thursday morning, the network was struggling to find a correct journalistic "balance" before airing any story on the video.
"This is not something you just throw out there while people are voting," the ABC source explained.
Developing...
Not something you just throw out while people are voting? You mean like non existant explosives that have gone missing? Surely they jest! They don\'t want to throw it out there because either it might actually make some people pause at the lever and think who can really better protect this country or it might actually mean if they vote for Kerry they vote for the terrorists demands.

Oh and here is his picture.
-
This is truely an amazing election.
I\'m going to Vegas next week. I hope they aren\'t planning on hitting Sin City. I\'d feel safer in north Tampa.

Now the explosives don\'t exist? Nice.
-
Non existant at the time they were said to be there. Yes... I stand by that statement. As for ABC and CBS... their credibility has gone down the toilet as well. I would have a hard time believing any breaking story they claim to have an exclusive on.
That also goes for the NY Times.

You stand by a lot of ridiculous statements. This is nothing new.
They were known for a fact to be there as late as January 2003. The last time the site was inspected was in April of 2003. The explosives were not observed but the seals on the containers were not broken. After that we have no idea. How does that constitute them being non-existent or as you so eloquently spun your statement "Non existant at the time they were said to be there"? There is no proof to suggest they were NOT there.

There is no proof that they were there. This yet another attempt by the liberal media in this country to influence the presidential election.
The sad thing BS, is that I back up my statements with news - you back yours up with... vague unsubstantiated reports.
-
Ignorant comment, you realize how many threats come through in a day??? It would be impossible to pick and choose which ones are real and which are not. Wasn\'t Clinton in office when the WTC first got hit, I wonder what kind of threats came then, and why he didn\'t do anything about those either.
-
You know Mystiq there is an active thread regarding the missing weapons? Please post it in the proper thread. Just because I mention it at the end of my post and BS comments on it doesn\'t mean you can start a whole discussion on it here when there is a thread currently active on the subject. I can\'t move your post so it is being deleted. All you did was cut and paste and article - you can easily do it again in the proper thread. Don\'t feel bad though - I deleted a very long post I put together in response before I realized this was the terror warning thread.

An excerpt from editorial in the Washington Times regarding how this threat is trying to influence the US election:
There\'s no surprise for this October
By Wesley Pruden
October surprises, a regular feature of the presidential campaign, like yard signs and bumper stickers, are considerably smaller caliber than they used to be. Twelve years ago, when Caspar Weinberger was indicted for nicking bedpans from a pantry at Health and Human Services, or whatever it was he was falsely accused of to tarnish George H.W. Bush on the eve of the \'92 election, October surprises were fairly exciting. Even four years ago, the not so surprising revelation that George W. Bush had imbibed a beer too many one night when he was young and foolish was a mere blast of birdshot in the dark.
Another surprise, this one by al Qaeda, was unreeled last night by ABC News. On videotape, a terrorist raghead, his weapon at the ready, warns that American streets will soon run "red with blood" to punish the Great Satan for electing, and threatening to re-elect, George W. and Dick Cheney. In earlier days such a threat from such a mortal enemy would have assured the re-election of the president. But election-eve terror worked in Spain, and who knows who the Americans are now. We\'ll get a clue next Tuesday.

So the "liberal media" is now more credible than reports from an international agency designed to secure nuclear materials? Is that what you are saying?
I like how the media is absolutely credible when it suits your argument.

If you want to continue this discussion - please post it in the Missing Weapons thread so this thread can stay on topic.
-
Since when have we started cracking down on tangents?
-
Because Nicon, there is perfectly good open thread regarding the missing weapons where anyone can go on a tangent right next to this one. Two completely different topics. That is what moderators do - try to keep posts where they belong.
