Title: Favorite Mission, or aspect so far?
Post by: theomen on October 27, 2004, 10:33:07 PM
I loved the Just Business mission

[sp]it involves the jump scene in the 2nd trailer, and has a scene from Terminator 2.  I loved shooting the cars chasing me in the tires and watch them swerve into eachother, damn that is a kick ass mission.  [/sp]

I\'m on that mission now, how the hell do you get past it?

The bike blows up before I can finish, how do I shoot them? I can\'t even get close to them, the bike moves around too much.

I have done this mission, Cerberus aim with the right analogue stick, if you shoot the guys in the head on the bikes they will die instantly. Auot aim doesn\'t work so don\'t bother with the R1 button.

It\'s easier to aim with the left stick, and like said by Kurt, hit the bikers in the head.  The same goes for the drivers of the cars, if you shoot them their cars will blow.

It\'s easier said than done, I just can\'t seem to get the target anywhere near them, before I can get them, the bike turns.

I liked the mission where you had to burn the dope crop with the flame thrower, I\'m just spewin\'I didn\'t get a photo of it before I burnt it.

Also where is the flight school? I\'m only in the second city so it could be in the third??

Also Also damn that mission shooting those radio controlled planes sucks.

I\'m on that one now, it\'s a shitter. I got within 1 second of completing it the first time, since then, I can\'t get anywhere near it.

Yeah, the mission where you pick up cezar and take pictures of ryder, jizzy and those other guys pissed me off because i would go fast and some bitchass semi would hit me trying to change and lane really quick and knock me off a damn cliff into the ocean or something.

Theres a million things to name but i do agree that Zero\'s rc mission was an itch - I did it at night and i couldnt see a damn thing.

You are in the 3rd city already?

Are the RC missions not necessary for progressing onto Las Venturas?

No, just the garage missions and the blind guy missions. I have finally done this mission btw, the one after is more of a bugger though. You have to fly a RC Red Baron around the city and destroy 5 vehicles. Then land back on the shop roof before the fuel runs out. This one took me a while.

My favorite mission so far is the one with the Russians, you get a lot of money and you kill a lot of people. It was pretty hard, but not to hard. Although, I haven\'t been that far into the game yet.

I am currently 47.5 % into it. I think I will have to buy a new ps2 though. Mine keeps having major disc reading errors on all my games and make a terrible racket from the drive.  I keep having to eject the disc an putting it back in almost every 2 mins during this game when everything freezes. it\'s almost unplayable. :( Last couple of days it has gradually got worse and worse.

*eyes up a spanking new pstwo*

i\'ve only done a couple of missions on the 2nd city but so far my favorite missions have been just business and the one where you rescue smoke from the motel then have to shoot the cops chasing your car (can\'t quite remember the name, reuniting the family?)

just business was a bitch at first and must\'ve taken me 8 attempts to do it, i managed to do the motel one first go just wish i\'d made a seperate save before them so i can play them again when i want

I\'ve been having a few problems with mine as well, but in a different area.

Occasionally, I get it to the point where the "Reading from memory card in..." bit after turning the machine on, then from there, it hangs, and I\'m left with the only option of resetting, even though it says I shouldn\'t.

[sp]the best missions for me so far, have been the 2 on the second city, where you have to swim out to the boats near the Golden Gate type bridge. One where you have to place a tracking device, and one where you save some refugees.

Those were the best so far, in my mind. [/sp]

Anybody know where the Pilot school is? And does it open up the use of all of the planes?

I know how to get into the 2 first Airports without one but i wanted to know if the license opened access to the other planes/copters.

You are directed to it when the 3rd island is opened up. You must complete the tests to continue. And yes there are more planes/choppers to fly around in. :D

I decided to drive the train instead of riding on it normally. I got it going so fast that it derailed going into a sharp turn and all the carriages overturned.

Where is it though, I don\'t recall the directions to it.
I can\'t even remember if I got them or not anyway.

Happened to me too.

About the pilots school - i just figured since some people were talking about it early on that it was already available. I figured they would tell me later but if it was open sooner then id just go for it.

Meh.
