Of course, been on a big Ray Charles kick as of late. Blasting it on the PC and at work.

Jamie Foxx looks great as Ray Charles.  Doesn\'t hurt that the dude can play piano as well.

Yeah he looks perfect for the character. It looks like it will be a great flick. In some cases it reminds me of ALI but perhaps better? IDK. There were so many mixed emotions about Ali that its hard to compare to this.

Ill most likely see it.

I\'d shell out the cash to watch it, looks like it will be a very good flick.

I wonder if there gonna make a Chris Reeves bio...

I want to see it.

My only problem is that every time I see Jamie Foxx on screen I think its an "In Living Color" skit or something.

just got back from it.

I had some gripes about it, but I will still be shocked if Jamie Foxx does not win the Oscar for best actor.

What an amazing job, i\'m a big Ray Charles fan and Foxx puts you in the state of mind that "I\'m not watching an actor portray Ray Charles, i\'m watching Ray Charles"

all I can say about Jamie Foxx\'s performance is BELIEVE THE HYPE.

I don\'t know how to black out spoilers so I can\'t say my gripes about the film without spoiling it. But I went to see it with my aunt who plays trumpet in a Jazz band and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved this film, although my opnion may be a little bit bias because i\'ve been such a Ray Charles fan for so long.

anyways, go see it/rent it or do whatever you do to see movies and see it.

PS: when I got home mybuddy mark was waiting for me and im quite trached right now......

Jamiee Fox is a great actor under-used. This will be his second big film this year. Hopefully he will get some respect now.

Can\'t wait to see it..  Curious as to if non-Ray Charles fans will bother see\'ing it

Which part? The fact that I like Ray Charles? Or the fact that a 21 year old White boy has no problem blasting Ray Charles? :D I work around a few black males and I think they was fairly surprised that I dug Ray Charles, but then again, I also love the old motown stuff (The Temptations own!).

Both i suppose. I mean at first...glance? w/e it is you want to call it, its hard to tell that you would be into him but its not a rare thing i guess. Just nice to see a few people like that once in a while, you know

It\'s hard for actors portraying known figures to get best actor awards. Happened to Jim Carey, happened to Will Smith, and quite a few others.

Thought is that they are just copying someone else\'s manorisms.  Not digging deep into their own.

There are better examples, but I just woke up and my head hurts.

Its weird you see pics and vids from the movie and a lot of times you can\'t even tell if its Jamie or Ray.

aye thats true indeed.

but out of Ali, Man On The Moon, and Ray the level of acting IMO is nowhere near as good as Jamie Foxx\'s performance.

an actor makes their living by pretending to be someone else, the only time I feel Jamie was impersonating Ray Charles is during the musical numbers (which are fantastic).

Its the performance he gives when he shows us the Ray Charles that we never get to see which is the amazing part to me.
