Right now the numbers are as follows...
BUSH 171
KERRY 112
The key states are all too close to call, the 10:00 polls are coming in, but the battleground states are still up in the air.
-
It\'s all how everyone expected it. Once those "too close to call" ones get sorted out, that\'s when things will even up a bit.
196 to 112...again, just as expected.
Now, Kerry needs those Northern states in a huge way.
See Yuz.
-
Kerry took PA. Florida looks to me like it\'s going Bush, though. So Kerry needs Ohio and Lady Luck.
Still close, though.
-Dan
-
These are official, not projected results thus far...
BUSH 210
KERRY 206
Bush is literally minutes away from taking florida...
I\'m hating Ohio right now, get your freaking voting system down pat!
-
BUSH 246
KERRY 206
Bush secures Florida, if he can get Ohio he\'s all set. My feeling though is that Ohio is gonna be the last ones to report in though.
-
Bush is winning Ohio right now at 79%...
-
Bush = 246
Kerry = 216
-
Well I\'m pretty sure that Bush just won...he has 269 now...
-
JUST IN:
Bush = 269
Kerry = 274
What a helluva race!!
-
270 win\'s it right?
Another four years.
:(
-
^^^^
Yes...that\'d be correct.

haha, your funny, too bad your math is wrong. ;)
it\'s PROJECTED...
BUSH 269
KERRY 207
bush only needs one more state and it\'s probably all he will get. So he\'s in.
For a president running for re-election, this was really close. Usually re-elections go one way or the other very distinctly.
-
May God help you...
-
Bush 249
Kerry 200
-
Bush 173
Kerry 482
Surprise ending but I\'ll welcome the new President with open arms.
-
Bush- hyu76h6 (that was me hitting my head on the keyboard
Kerry- Who cares
-
Well, it\'s going to be another dark four years in America History. Bright side? He can\'t run again after this...*Shrugs* I guess that is a bright side.
*sigh*
Ohio still has not turned in all the way at 2:00 am tho. He needs to sweep Ohio to win it (Kerry). If not, he can still tie it. I sense a lot of recounts and lawyers.
-
And you were right. Kerry\'s people are going to fight about Ohio for some time.
-
All to just waste our time. As many analyst have stated already, just bite the bullet and accept the situation. The dems will only make themselves look bad by fighting the Ohio votes.
-
Closer than we thought.... CNN now reports 254 to 252. Ohio count could take up to 11 days. Jesus, this election may end up worse than the last one.
Fox still shows 269 to 242.
Urgh.
I give up. The media cant give something that simple right.
-
CNN\'s been saying that, playing it safe until they get a definite answer. NBC and FOX are still sticking with their original stats.
-
Kerry needs to concede. He has clearly lost the popular vote and Bush\'s lead in Ohio is insurmountable regardless of provisional ballots - most of which in any given state are rejected anyway.
The exit polls were way off... they need to stop that process period.
-
:(
Stupid Ohio....
-
Just heard a Kerry lawyer on a Boston station who was very honest who said it\'s not likely that Kerry will take Ohio. He also said other times that he\'s been involved with provisional ballots that about twenty five percent of them were considered valid.
And the Senate wins are a beautiful thing too.
-
With the Congress gaining major R seats and Bush staying in office, anyone think the Gay Marriage deal will come up again, and perhaps even be passed?
It seems possible...
-
I don\'t know since that is so low on my radar.

I have to agree with Ace - I don\'t care too much about the gay marriage issue.
I will say that with the Republicans gaining seats in both the House and the Senate - that the election was a mandate for President Bush.

Quite true. The popular vote surprise me. More votes than any prez.

Exactly... so much for Vote or Die, Bruce Springsteen and all the other celebrities that tried to influence the election.
The turnout was fantastic for the GOP - something the DNC didn\'t count on.
-
I would love to see Michael Moore right now. Must be all dejected that his stupid movie meant nothing.
-
He is probably gorging himself on Big Mac\'s. You know I just heard Barack Obama say on the news that Kerry should concede (not as directly as I put it). At least one politician in the DNC has some class and knows what is best for this country.
-
Wow... CA was close relatively speaking - Bush received 47% not bad at all. I guess that helped him receive the largest popular vote margin win ever - even beating Ronaldus Magnus!
-
If bush had lost i was going to rent out my spare room to Giga, Gmanjoe or Ace for the next 4 years and make a small fortune...
But THANKS to the voters ...
I am going to put that offer up to all the Lefty\'s of the forum...
P.s.
Don\'t worry about Tony Blair he\'s stepping down in 3 years time anyway :D.
Also you must like Cats.... As i have two (gee i guess itsas better this way ... i mean Gmanjoe hates cats so that would of left me with giga or Ace)
-
I don\'t mind cats. I used to own one. I just don\'t care for them much as much as cat people. :D
-
I am allergic to cats. ;) I think Sir Mystiq might take you up on your offer though. He could teach you Spanish, though you would have to endure his ramblings about his ficticious girlfriend and you would have to watch the Lion King at least 3 times a week. :)

Nah if he moves over then he can do ALL my Dirty work.

You would let him sleep with Miss Moneypenny? ;)

Only if he was SAMWISE...bud only if he was SAMWISE
-
It\'s over at 1:00 pm Kerry will concede.
-
Just saw that - he is doing the right thing. He has gained some respect in my eyes unlike Gore.
-
Same here, Giga. He\'s finally doing it right and I give him credit for it.
-
I sort of feel bad for him. Unlike you, he wasn\'t my Senator and I really didn\'t have anything against him and if he would have won - the sun would still have risen and I doubt my life would have changed drastically. However, I think there are some "real" losers in this election:
Michael Moore
CBS
George Soros
P. Diddy
MTV
France
The UN
Bon Jovi
Bruce Springsteen
Moveon.org
-
I would of recounted it. Fought it. He would of lost - but make it more difficult on Bush. Then again, I would be a sore loser.
Question is, will Kerry run again in 2008?
-
May I add to your list?
Barbara Streisand
Cher
Ah, forget it, the whole bunch of Hollywood elites.
-
Kerry is done on the national scene.
-
Hillary will be running... God help every straight male in this country if she is elected.

Why do i get the strange feeling that if some republicans had their way...
All of the above would be Burn\'ed at the stake.
;)
-
Nah, we like Hollywood stars and the crap they put out. Well, most of the time, it\'s just that we wish they\'d shut their pie holes and stop talking down to the unwashed masses like they know better.
-
yeah but you do realise that thanks to the result ...YOU have handed Moore 4 more years of b$tch\'n.
You have only yourselfs to BLAME ;).
-
That scumbag would be around anyway. And it\'s my opinion now that liberals are far more fun when they\'re out power so he can go on being the ass that he is for my enjoyment.
-
This election proved one major thing about Michael Moore:
His irrelavance.
