My 15" Grundig TV has served me well for years but it sucks for GTA:SA and DVD\'s etc so...
First off, im a student and therefore can\'t afford a cinema in my room like rest of u with projectors and surround sound etc :p
I\'m looking to spend about £300 - £400 ($550 - $740)and know relatively nothing about TV\'s so can anyone recommend anything - any cheap sites etc, i head http://www.empiredirect.co.uk is good - bear in mind i live in the USKA, woops typo i meant to say the UK ;)

Get the biggest widescreen progressive TV you can afford.

Those look cool. Sony\'s will be better quality but a tad extra.

more Hz is better yeh? just becasue bith Bornout 3 u can set it to either 50 or 60Hz so i was looking at one that was 60Hz or more
and what does progressive mean, and why is a "flat" screen any better than a \'curved\' one?

THX, what do u think of this one:

No real reason to buy widescreen if it\'s not HD.
Honestly when you are talking about that small of a set I wouldn\'t buy widescreen.
4:3 material would be like watching it on what, a 24" set? Not sure on the math.
It\'s a tough call. You aren\'t talking about an expensive set so really it\'s up to you.
Take into account how much widescreen amterial you watch.
DO you watch a lot of DVDs?
Do you play a lot of widescreen games?
Not sure on HD availability in your area if at all.
It\'s tough being an american making a recommendation for your area.

yeh, im not even sure HD is broadcast anywhere in the UK eben if it is it is likely to be on sky, cable whatever but i only have the 5 terrestrial channels so really im just using it to watch DVD\'s and play games
i was also thinking of connecting it to my computer via a TV card - anything special needed on the TV to do this?

It\'s between:
