I have a 99 Grand Am. I currently pay $2000 every six months, but it\'ll go down as the points from my first speeding ticket (a 4-pointer) stop being charged. I am being charged for ten points on my license currently, but the actual number is down to 8 and will be at 5 by the end of the year.
I took a defensive driving class to drop my insurance 10% so that\'ll help come December. They stop charging me for that first big ticket this year, so that\'ll help in December. And I switched from monthly to semi-annual payments to save $36 in surcharges.
One last thing I thought of is to maybe get an alarm in my car to earn that discount... Have some other work to do first, though.
No accidents.
Insurance is through New Jersey\'s State Farm.
